Hi! Welcome to my little slice of the Internet. My name is Shannon, that's me in the yellow. That handsome fellow is my husband Jimmy and that grinning bundle of joy is our precious pumpkin, Kendall. Nice to meet you!
Jimmy and I met in 2007 when I worked for his families business as a temporary. Long story short, they laid me off and I never spoke to or saw Jimmy again until the following January. That January we were both bowling {of all things} with separate groups of friends when we ran into each other. It was fate, that's all it can be accredited to, because neither of us had been bowling for years before that day. He took my number, not onece but twice, and then never called me. Thanks hun.
Finally after stalking him on Myspace for far too long I forced him to call me. He did and we went on our first date. We had drinks at Bar Louie, shots at Adobe Gilas and played games for hours at Gameworks. It was perfect. He hugged me goodbye and I ws so thankful he did not try to steal a kiss, what a gentleman.
About two months after that we moved in together. About 5 months later we were engaged. We planned our wedding in exactly one year and got married one year from the date we were engaged.
Our wedding was fabulous, if I do say so myself. We laughed, we cried, we danced, we drank and we even hired a bagpiper. It was the best day of my life.
I wanted a baby right now and Jimmy was willing to wait, he wanted to have some husband-wife time. We decided to "see what would happen" as far as getting pregnant goes. Well...as it goes, if you do the deed and don't protect yourself you wind up with a baby in your belly. And that's just what happened to us. Before we even celebrated our one year wedding anniversary we welcomed our baby girl into the world on August 16, 2010.
And from that day foward our lives forever changed. This blog chronicles my life, recipes, a little bit of gossip and fashion and a whole lot of honesty. Won't you stay a while?
