Wedding Wednesdays

Well this week we will be taking a road trip out west to Oklahoma City for Future Mr's friend's wedding. I have to say I have never taken a 14 hour road trip with the Future Mr and I wasn't looking forward to it till this week. I am glad we'll be spending some quality time together in the car, this will give us a chance to catch up on our wedding workbook!
I am also looking forward to being at our last wedding together until our very own. I am an emotional wreck right now so I know when the bride and groom say their "I Dos" I am going to lose it. These two are very special to Future Mr and I know he is going to be so proud standing up next to the groom.
I am looking forward for this time together, as we haven't had much alone time these past few weeks.
As for our wedding...we are in the process of planning the rehearsal dinner, bridal showers, and bachelorette party. Talk about a whirlwind! Once we meet with the venue on the 7th I will feel so much more at ease about this whole process. I also need to make an appointment with my less than stellar florist. We'll see if she redeems herself. I've still got a lot of things to order like my garter, wine glasses, lanterns, and guest book. Wow if only I had a money tree.
I am so excited for our big day seeing as it's just over 2 months away. It seems so surreal that it's finally going to be here. I am so proud to be the Future Mrs. Dew. I honestly can say that I never saw this day coming. When I first met Future Mr I did NOT think anything of him, ask my mom. I did find myself thinking about him often and wondered what that meant. Then when we ran into each other, at a bowling alley of all places, I knew it had to mean something. Lucky me it did. The next two months are going to be busy, stressful, happy, sad, and I can't wait for it.
When we went out with the FILs Saturday his brother called me his sister and I almost cried. I've been an only child my whole life and to know I am going to go from an only to having 3 "brothers" makes me smile so big. I honestly love my ILs and cannot wait to be a member of their amazing family. They really are wonderful.

  1. Hope you have a wonderful weekend and take plenty of pictures. And 14 hours in the car won't be so bad... Sometimes I look forward to road trips. It's nice to get away from the daily hussle and bussle and be able to just catch up on life. Have fun Mrs. Dew! :)

  12. My husband and I traveled from Chicago to Prince Edward Island for a wedding about four months before our own. He was standing up in the wedding and I was asked to read a poem. I was a wreck by the time I had to read. It was very emotional. I hope you have a great time and enjoy every minute!
