Ultimate Avon Giveaway

That would be 4 of my all-time favorite Avon products. 1. Glimmersticks Liqui-Glide eye liner. You'll get your choice of color but this is by far THE BEST eye liner you will ever use. If you haven't tried it yet I highly suggest hightailing it over to my shop and ordering at least two. I've had people who have sworn by department store liner convert and I promise you will too. 2. Foot Works Dual Action Pedi-Peel Pads. Guys, I have to admit, my feet are gross. I run around barefoot a lot and my heels look like the cement I walk on. True story. These babies? Cured my nasty feet after one, ONE, use. I swear. I couldn't believe it either but now I use them nightly and my feet have never looked better. 3. ExtraLasting Mascara. I've talked about my love for this mascara before. Nothing's changed. I still get asked if I'm wearing fake lashes or using Latisse. Still. Love. 4. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder. I use the Shimmied Up color and I'm obsessed. Remember that time I wore my giant sunnies at the beach leaving me with the most noticeable case of Raccoon Eyes ever? Summer Must Haves

Perhaps "must haves" isn't the best term but these are some products that get me through the summer months. Things I love that make my summer better, me prettier, and my home smell great.
Hair

I am so glad to be ~~back to my roots~~ blonde this summer. Blondes have more fun, right? Especially in the summer. Just something about blonde hair and bronze skin that makes me happy. Superficial? Yes, absolutely. But one thing that is not awesome about being blonde in the summer, and there's just one reason, is discoloration from swimming and such. No one likes blonde with a tint of chlorine green, no one. That's where Aveda Blue Malva comes in.

This stuff is bomb.com. If you are blonde just trust me and run to your closest Aveda store or order it online NOW. I started using it when our water softener broke and our water had tons of iron in it, causing my hair to have a tint of orange in it. No bueno. I bought this stuff and instantly noticed a difference. Now I use it about once a week and the day I use it I can always tell that my hair is brighter, blonder. Love.

Face

Pretty sure I've already shared my love for this before but it's worth repeating. I love love love bronzer. I just started using it about a year ago and find myself asking why it took so long. It just gives you such a nice glow and makes the need for foundation almost nonexistent. I've tried a couple over the past year but Avon's Glowdacious by mark is my favorite, and I'm not just saying that.

This stuff is awesome because of it's 3 tone color. You just swirl your brush around all three colors and swipe over your whole face. Better yet? It's got just a little bit of shimmer which I LOVE. I definitely don't leave home without this in the summer.

Body

Because I am not a fan of skin cancer, and being a toddler mom doesn't leave much time for laying out poolside, I have been forced to do the fake bake. And no I'm not talking about tanning beds, who do I look like, Tan Mom? Anywho, I've tried a slew of lotions, some smell, some leave you streaky or worse yet, orange. No gracias. Well welcome to your life L'Oreal Sublime.

It is the best for instant gratification. It's bronze in color which helps eliminate the "did I put some there?" factor. It works almost immediately too, this is the stuff I use if I have somewhere to go today or am wearing neon pink shorts right now. It's bees knees and doesn't smell too bad. I remember I used it when I was pregnant and people couldn't believe my "glow" and literally asked if I had been tanning. As if!

Home

Scentsy is all the rage right now, if you haven't picked up a warmer and at least 5 scents by now you are living in a cave. Truth. It's perfect for mamas of toddlers because it doesn't warm above body temperature so there is no risk of burning or catching your house on fire. Win, win. I recently bought a bunch of summer scents and I'm so glad I did. My house smells like the beach, summer, tropical vacations every day.

Skinny Dippin, Coconut Lemon Chiffon, Coconut Lemongrass, and Camu Camu are four of my favorites I've picked up this year. I think it's safe to say I'm addicted and think everyone needs to own at least one, if not all, of these scents. Lucky for me Jimmy loves this stuff too so I don't get in trouble for buying more!more!more!

Lash On With Yo Badself

OK I just HAD to share this with you and NO it couldn't wait.

So I have been on the hunt for the perfect mascara since 2009, you can even read about it here. I've pretty much tried every kind there is out there, joking {kind of}. So when I started selling Avon I was bound to try every one they had till I found one that was PERFECT! Why not? I get to test out product so I can report back to customers and I get it at a GREAT price.

Well the first one I tried I didn't really care for. It seemed like I had to use a lot to achieve the look I was going for and even then I wasn't pleased with the results. I sucked it up and used the rest of the tube but {thankfully} I ran out last week. YAY I get to try another product!!! This time I went for the ExtraLasting Mascara. The description said it would give flutter lashes, sounds good. And the price? $4.99 so it was cheaper than any drug store mascara out there! Sold!

Ladies I was NOT disappointed this time! No sir! I was pleased beyond words. In fact I should just let the pictures do the talking.

Pretty good, right? I haven't even been using it for a week and I've already been asked if I'm wearing extensions or if I've been using Latisse or if I am naturally blessed. As you can see from the photos, I am not naturally blessed, this mascara is just THAT good.

@!#$%^& Tuesday

I am so damn pissed off about my domain name, you have no idea. So pissed that I didn't even sign into blogger once yesterday. So pissed that I almost want to stop blogging altogether. It seems as though no one wants to help. Not Blue Host and certainly not Blogger. It's annoying and frustrating. I am back to using my blogspot address {www.butterfliesandheaveneyes.blogspot.com} for the time being {hopefully not permanently}. The thing is my posts are only showing up for about half of my audience. Annoying. So I apologize. I will continue to update my Facebook page and Twitter and hope that helps keep you in the loop. Until then just know I'm crabby.
I have been tossing around a few job ideas but I just don't know what is worth the risk and what is just not possible. I would love to do something from home. I wish that my Avon stuff would take off and I could make a career out of it but I just don't see that happening. {p.s. With a cherry on top?} So I have to try other avenues and hope that something works out.
Jimmy and I have been addicted to Sons of Anarchy this past week. We literally watch an episode or two every single night after Kendall goes to bed. I'm not 100% sure what's going on all the time but I do know that Jax is hot and I dream about the day that he cuts his hair. Also Peg Bundy is amazing on that show, love her.
I know August is a long way away but I cannot help dream about our family vacation to the beach. I have visions of what this trip will be and it's nothing short of glorious. Also? I'm getting up and running on the beach during sunrise if it kills me. It's something I've always wanted to do and even talked about doing {but never did} the last time we were at the beach. I will do it, even if it's just once, this time.
We ate pizza twice this weekend, don't judge, and Kendall calls it "pee-pee". Yep. So that's fun. Also? She saw me getting dressed this week and now knows "boobies" and can say it clearer than any other word in her vocabulary. Great. She can also count to 3 {kinda} and hearing her say "two" is beyond the cutest thing ever. She's got this little southern {sort of} accent and says "teeew". So cute. Melts my heart.

I've already been pouring bleach on it and using anti itch creams.

So that's all I've got on this Tuesday. SO WHAT! Wednesday will resume as planned tomorrow although I'm not sure how the button is going to work out. It will be available, obviously, but it won't like right. UGH can someone help me get it figured out already!? OK I'm done whinning. Speaking of w{h}ine, I'm thinking of giving it up {but not till this blog shit gets worked out}.

Let's Talk Makeup

When I did my Q&A post I got a couple questions asking about my daily makeup routine and it took me a while but I've finally got pictures and products to show you.

As you are aware, or maybe not, I sell Avon. The funny thing is, I had have even tried Avon before I started selling it. That doesn't make for a very good saleswoman, now does it? Now I have yet to make any money from this little venture because I have been so busy buying up one of everything but I'm so glad I have. My new makeup is great and, best of all, it lasts!

I start the day with the Get a Tint moisturizer {if you haven't tried tinted moisturizer you are missing out BIG time}, Please Hold primer {for the eyes}, and Primed for Perfection {for the face}. Primer is key to making your makeup last!

And here we are all moisturized and primed {thank God for makeup, right?}

For my face I use Ideal Shade concealer stick {under the eyes and on blemishes}, Ideal Shade loose powder {foundation}, Smooth Minerals blucsh, and I polish it all off with Smooth Minerals Radiant Veil in rose.

And we're making progress

Now for the eyes. This is my every day eye look, sometimes I do a little darker for evening but it pretty much is this with a little more eyeliner.

I use the Mark eyeshadow in Sugar Sugar on my brow bone, Fairy Dust on my lid, and Corset in the crease. I use {and am IN LOVE with} the Glimmersticks liqui-glide eyeliner in black. It's a pencil but goes on like a liquid! It's the best and I will never use another liner, EVER. This stuff is still on when I wake up in the morning. Mascara is Supershock in black. Another liner I've come to like is The Body Shop. It's not the greatest but when I wear brown liner theirs is the only shade of brown that looks right on me. I also use my shu uemura eye lash curler when I'm feeling fancy.

Tuesday Tidbits

It's starting to get cold here and while I'm not a fan of the cooler temps or the impending snow, I was excited to break out my beloved Theory Juliet sweater yesterday. It's so warm and cozy, how could you not love it?

I started Christmas shopping, officially. I can't help it, I know I should respect the turkey but I need to get a head start so I'm not scrambling at the last minute. Plus I'm buying the majority online so I have to do it early to give it time to get here, right?
Speaking of Christmas, I cannot wait to start decorating! I am still on the fence about the Christmas tree this year. Kendall as at a "fun" age and visions of ornaments flying through the air are doing through my head.
We participated in a children's book exchange this year Kendall got her first book yesterday! I love The Very Hungry Caterpillar and can't believe we didn't have it till now. Thank you anonymous book giver. {if you haven't participated and would like to please leave me a comment}.

And while we're talking about blog comments, please make sure you are not a "no-reply" comment leaver. I can't tell you how many times I have gone to respond to a question and/or sweet comment only to find I've spent 5 minutes typing to a no-reply email address. Not cool bloggers. It's an easy fix, here's what you do:1. Go to your dashboard, 2. Click "edit profile" 3. Check the box that says "show my email address" 4. Save your profile. Easy peasy.
I made the most delicious Pinterest recipe last night, thanks to Lindsay. Baked spaghetti is the new go-to baked dish. And? It's got french fried onions on top! What's not to love?

We had a baby shower for a coworker this week. She is older and unexpectedly pregnant with many complications. She is having a hard time emotionally and financially and the outpouring of love {and gifts} she got was amazing. I donated Kendall's swing and while it was very hard for me to let go of {wah that's where my baby slept for 4 months} it made me feel so good to know that the swing that made my baby so happy will now bring another baby the same peace and happiness.

I'm excited that this week is an extra short week! Hello 4 day vacation! I have no plans to go Black Friday shopping but I may break out those Christmas decorations!
