Perfect Drug Store Shampoo/Conditioner

Normally I'm an Aveda girl. Love the way their products smell and love that it's all natural. Now I won't stray from their volumizer, but their shampoo and conditioner can get a little pricey. Off to the drug store I go, surely there's got to be an equivalent for under $10! I stumble across L'Oreal EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System- Volumizing shampoo & conditioner. The smell was VERY similar to that of Aveda so I thought, "this could be it!" The very first time I used it my hair was so silky and soft and completely manageable, but I wasn't sold just yet- every time you switch your hair feels great the first time. So I used the entire bottle and I'm still IN LOVE! Unfortunately I still thought there was going to be something better out there and thought I'd give the Aveeno Nourish a try...bad move!
First of all, it did smell amazing-that's about it. A couple of times I washed my hair and it still looked dirty-
NO GRACIAS! The shampoo BARELY got sudsy and I had to use a TON of it. I wasn't going to give up that quickly so I finished off the entire bottle and it didn't get any better. Sorry Aveeno, I love your moisturizer but your shampoo gets two thumbs down! I'll be buying the L'Oreal again!

  1. Oooh that makes me want to give it a shot b/c I LOVE the way Aveda smells but often it's a little drying on my already-dry hair. I like Pureology now, but it's 27 dollars a bottle. Oh.my.wow. It's ridiculous really. I kept buying travel sizes to convince myself I wasnt spending that much..haha.. When I run out this time, I'll try the L'Oreal! Thanks!

  2. I'll have to check that out, I love to find cheap versions that work just as good as the expensive stuff!

  5. Have you tried Organix??? I'm pretty sure it won't smell like Aveda, but I really like it, and they have a bunch of different varieties that smell AMAZING. Best part? $6.99 a bottle!

  7. Ugh I hate Aveeno too. I tried the "volumizing" one (cuz a girl can never have enough oomph) and I swear my hair was oily by the end of the work day. GROSS.

  8. Hi :) I have read reviews on this shampoo/conditioner and a lot of people say that it makes their hair very dry. Have you had this problem? I would love to try this out but my hair is already dry, so I was just wondering. Thanks!
