Tummy Tuesdays

{EXCITING NEWS ALERT}

We are going to find out the sex of Baby Butterbean on February 8th! It is early but it’s not too early for the 3D/4D place! Hahaha, take that Dr. Russ, trying to make me wait till 20 weeks, are you NUTS? Totally kidding, L.O.V.E my doctor, he’s amazing, but we are impatient and when they told us you could find out as early as 13 weeks we were SOLD! CANNOTWAIT!

Now on to week 11…still feeling pretty great! Definitely moved into the maternity department at the stores though, fun! I did some damage at Destination Maternity this weekend, can I just say one thing? Maternity pants ROCK! OMG I don’t know if I’ll be able to go back to normal pants after baby! LOVE THEM!

Sleeping has been a little restless lately, I don’t know if I just can’t get comfortable or if it’s because I have to pee more than usual, either way I am annoyed. I have started sleeping with a body pillow and that makes it a little more comfortable but Mr. Husband has less room so now he’s sleeping worse, oops. My dreams, oh my dreams, are CRAZY! Like Britney Spears when she shaved her head crazy! From almost being assassinated by an ex-boyfriend to my BFF having and Aladdin themed wedding in the parking lot of a restaurant (where I wore MY wedding dress as a BM dress), sure makes going to sleep an adventure!

My hormones are also WACK-O. I started reading Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy and she summed it up the best. We know we are being crazy/irrational/emotional/unreasonable/hot mess but there’s NOTHING we can do about it. It’s true. I know that some of the things that come out of my mouth are completely unnecessary but it’s like diarrhea of the mouth and I cannot control it. Sorry Mr. Husband, you have been AMAZING and barely say a word when I FREAK out about you listening to the IPod when I want you to watch 2 hours of The Bachelor with me. <3>

I’m still trying to be really good about going to the gym but these days “being good” means 2 days a week. I swear I try, I pack my gym bag and take it with me every day and still only manage to make it about twice a week, pathetic. In my defense, I’m EXHAUSTED at the end of the day, all I want is to go lie on the couch and watch reruns of Teen Mom and Real Housewives of Orange County (don’t judge). They after the first trimester you get some of your energy back, hope that’s true for this mama!

For those wondering, I’m still on a macaroni and cheese kick, plan on eating it every day till this baby is born! No other weird food cravings/aversions. I don’t have any appetite for veggies though, except for the Subway veggie sub…YUM! Another thing I’m finding interesting is when people ask if I “miss alcohol”. At first I’m like “NO!” But when I think about it, I would like to sit down and have a glass of wine like I used to. And some people, and doctors, will say it is perfectly fine to have a glass of wine here and there but I’m not willing to chance it. Heaven for bid something be wrong with this precious little baby I would constantly wonder if that was why. I think it’s a sacrifice definitely worth making.

And without further ado, 11 weeks 3 days

  1. Ok so I'm obsessed with your "tummy tuesdays." I may or may not have to steal it once I start blogging about our bean! Speaking of being a hormonal train wreck (oh wait, maybe that's just me) did you read my post yesterday about my temper tantrum over oreos? Seriously. What's gotten into me??! Hubs and I are TOTALLY going to an US "boutique" to have a Gender Reveal much earlier than 20 weeks!! Those doctors are CRAAAAAAAZY for thinking we'll wait that long!!!! Can't wait to find out with you!! :)

  5. you sound perfectly normal...
    although I'm pretty skeptical about this 13 week business and finding out the sex. I wonder if the chances are more likely for the sex to "change" before your 20 week appt (meaning, the shots werent really accurate)...

    We tried at 17.5 weeks and couldnt find it--but the baby wasnt really participating.

    Mac and Cheese huh? Hm....I was gonna go with boy...but, its too soon for me to guess (although I should get my guess in soon)--but most women take to carbs during the first trimester b/c nothing else "feels" as good.

  6. I'm preggo w/baby #3 and I have found that the first trimester is the most sleepy! Ok, you're gonna be tired for the rest of your life now that you have kids, that's just how it is. But when you're preggo, I think you want to SLEEP like go into hibernation in the 1st trimester.

  9. Aww that is so exciting that you will find out earlier what you are having!! My friend decided not to find out at all, and I just don't think I will have the patience for that AT ALL! I would want to know asap as well. Any guesses as to what you are having? I would love to hear if you and your hubby agree on what you think!

  17. Oh I should have added that we'll be 15 weeks when we go for the gender determination. They say you can do it at 13 but I thought that was a little TOO soon so we're giving it 2 extra weeks. We'll have the 20 week apt with my dr still too so we'll get double confirmation.
