Tummy {uh} Tuesday?

Sorry for the delay, Mr. Husband got a new XBox over the weekend and F'ed up the internet in the process... but WE'RE BACK!

Wow, so I guess 24 weeks= 6 months, huh? So in 3 months I’ll have a baby! OMG! I am so excited/nervous/anxious/happy/scared all at the same time. I can’t wait to be a mommy, it’s been my lifelong dream, but will I know what to do? Will I be good at it? I watched a few episodes of A Baby Story yesterday and it really hit home. The past 6 months have FLOWN by; I can’t imagine how fast these last 3 will be. I can’t believe in just 3 months we’ll be holding our baby girl, our daughter. Miss Kendall Paige Dew. Can’t wait.

In the mean time…things are going so well as far as the pregnancy goes. I could not ask for a better pregnancy. No morning sickness! Headaches have subsided! Sleep is decent! No swelling {yet}! No strange cravings {just wanting to eat everything and anything}! It’s been {dare I say} perfect! Well minus the crazy, irrational hormones that made me a bit of a B in the beginning. My feet and back are KILING me this week though. I swear I could have someone massage me ALL DAY and still not be comfortable.

This week we’ve been able to see my belly move, that’s been SO fun to see! I have been trying to get a real good video of it but each time I try she stops! Silly baby! The good news is Mr. Husband got in on that action right away and saw it and was SO happy! It’s so amazing to see his face light up like that.

I filled out a birthing plan this week. Not too much of a big deal, do you want epi? HELLS TO THE YEAH. Do you want father to cut the cord? Yes, please. Do you want music? Think that will be the LAST thing on my mind. Who will be in the room? Just the two of us, this is NOT a spectator sport. Do you want to be lying down? On your side? Squatting? All fours? *SREECH* ALL FOURS? They have to be kidding, right?! RIGHT? OMG I cannot even IMAGINE! I’ll take lying down for 100, Alex. So it wasn’t as big of a deal to make a birthing plan. Not like I thought it was going to be anyway, I thought I was supposed to have this GRAND master plan. My plan is go in with a baby in my belly and come out with a baby in my arms. Point. Blank.

Still no stretch marks {yet}, THANK GOD! And I still have a belly button, although I’m starting to see the end of it now, Lord have mercy! Mr. Husband doesn’t believe me that it’s going to pop out soon, but it’s only a matter of time now. The “girls” are large and in charge, Mr. Husband gave them each their own zip code this weekend, how sweet of him. My booty is bootylicious and I’m not saying that in a good way, Beyonce. I’ve been having dreams about the gym, wonder if that is a sign?

Anywho…here’s the goods. 24 weeks 3 days.

  1. dang near peed my pants reading your birth plan. Some of the things that people do (or say they want to do) horrify me. But hey, to each their own, right?

My good friend wants her entire family (think aunts, uncles, siblings, sisters in law, etc.) and her husband's entire family to be in the room with her. And wants her DAD to video tape the ENTIRE thing. Um....no thanks!!

Glad you are feeling well :)

  4. Wow! I had no idea they make you decide on your day-of plan at six months! I don't know if I'll be able to do that, yikes. I thought it was kinda a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type thing... whoa.

Thanks for the heads up! And, you're right, time is flying! Still looking great though!

  8. I think you're birth plan sounds good! Really you can have a baby on your side?? I can't imagine trying to do that while laying on my side.

    Woohoo for no stretch marks!
