I know some of you are "friends" with me on Facebook, therefore you already know this, but Kendall Paige Dew has arrived! Born 8/16/10 at 4:42 pm she's 7.6lbs and 20" long and ABSOLUTELY perfect.
I went in to be induced Monday morning at 7 am. Water was broken, pitocin got going and things were moving right along. I was dilated to a 5-6 when I got my epidural {MAD props to the people that do it all natural}. At about 3:30 I was notified that Little Miss KP was NOT moving down the birth canal and a c-section "MAY" be in order, but we were waiting for my doctor to get there before we committed. Fast forward 30 minutes and they were handing Mr. Husband a gown, hat, and booties and we were headed to the OR. I was OK with a c-section but it went from a possibility to a "here we go" in such a short time I was shocked. My doctor is AMAZING and my c-section was done and over with in 12 minutes, I'm not kidding. Every one of the nurses and doctors that checked me out kept saying how my scar is going to heal so nicely you won't even see it, I still haven't looked at it...grosses me out a lil.
Having a c section was not part of my plan, but now I'm glad it happened that way and cannot imagine doing it vaginally. I will say one thing, the epi was my best friend. I held out as long as I could and then it was too much. The meds they gave me for the c-section freaked me out a bit and made me almost fall asleep on the operating table, but boy they worked! My hospital stay was AMAZING and every nurse we had was the best.
Kendall is the most precious baby I could EVER ask for. She's a little piggy and completely demolishes her 2 oz bottle every 4 hours. We are moving her up to 3 oz today and hopefully that will fill her up. Her first night at home she slept for 6 hours, I DIE! I couldn't ask for a better baby.

Your blog post earlier about driving around with the car seat in your car and thinking about how it would be with your baby brought back so many wonderful memories! Our little girl is 3 now and all those "firsts" were SO fun!! Being a Mommy is the BEST!:)
