I have to say, I don't even feel pregnant anymore. I know that "disappearing symptoms" are totally common around this time, as the hormones have leveled off but hot damn. If it weren't for my baby bump I'd probably be pounding back the box o'delicious this week. Just kidding. But in all seriousness, I don't feel sleepy, my boobs stopped hurting {finally!}, I'm sleeping better at night, so I guess I'm getting into the 2nd trimester, feeling good phase.
The one new thing this week is my achy back. Every night, after chasing a toddler all day and whatnot, my back really aches. It's all I can do to not just collapse on the couch and prop my feet up {which I have been doing a lot more frequently}. I guess it's because I literally don't sit all day. I'm constantly on my feet, playing, cleaning up, running around, doing something so the last thing I want to do after Kendall is in bed {for nap or bedtime} is get on the treadmill. But, my weight gain is getting a little out of control so looks like I'm going to have to suck it up and just get on, even if it's just for 30 minutes a day. I refuse to deliver Baby Dew #2 weighing what I did when I delivered Kendall.
I'm still feeling "boy" these days. I don't know why but I just imagine us with a little man in our lives. For a long time Kendall always said she wanted a sister or a girl when we'd ask her, so much so that we stopped asking because we were afraid if it was a boy she might have a hard time. Well now when we ask her she says "baby brother!". I put a poll up on my Facebook page and so far Team Blue is still winning there too. I scheduled the gender ultrasound {at an early/elective place} and we'll know 2/23! EEK! Not that far away!
I started wearing maternity pants this week. I had been sporting my normal jeans with a belly band up until now but that gets annoying. If I need skinny jeans I still have to wear it because all of my maternity jeans are boot cut, but for the most part I'm in maternity, or sweats. I'm just really looking forward to the warmer temps so I can wear {and be comfortable} in dresses. I miss dresses so much in the winter.
I have been an eating machine lately. I'm not necessarily craving anything but I just think of something, randomly, and have to have it. I have no self control either because no matter what it is I eat it. It's kind of gross. I feel like there is something out there that I want but I can't figure out what it is so I just eat everything/anything in hopes of fulfilling my "craving". So far that's not working out in my favor. I have to get that under control.
My next update will most likely be when we do the gender reveal, in about 3 weeks! I cannot wait to find out if we are going to have another, sweet baby girl or a bouncing baby boy!!! I'd honestly be happy with either and I can say with 100% certainty that I have no preference either way this time.
So glad you are feeling! Can't wait for the gender reveal!
ReplyDeleteAfter being on a 'diet' (WW) for so long, then getting pregnant..it messed with me SO bad to have these cravings that would NOT GO AWAY unless I got what I wanted. It felt like I was going from total self control to totally OUT of control and while I wasn't binge eating or anything, it made me feel icky. So I can totally relate. Pregnancy does such weird things to us. You look really good!! I think the bump size has stayed the same. I feel like if people pop out early then it usually tapers off growing for a while. Looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteyou look beautiful mama! can't wait to hear if KP is getting a little sister or brother :)
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I think BOY too!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you guys! :)
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to find out what Baby Dew #2 is!! We are both getting so close!!
ReplyDeleteYou look great :) Congratulations! What a good idea to do an early gender reveal! Wish we'd thought of that--waiting as long as we did to find out was MURDER. I hear ya on the warmer weather. I can't WAIT for sunshine and maxi dresses. It's the one downfall to being preggo in the winter.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear what it is...my guess is boy :) How sweet that Kendall says brother!
ReplyDeleteI was the same way with cravings while pregnant with my second baby. I didn't know what I wanted, but I had to have it! Glad you're starting to feel better!
ReplyDeleteI am still thinking girl for you. That's awesome you are 100% okay either way. It's soo hard not to want one over the other.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you're 12 weeks already! Seems like just yesterday!
ReplyDeleteLooking good! I voted boy. :-). It would even out the sex of all the babies happening right now a little more. Most everyone around me seems to be having girls (including me!).
ReplyDeleteI feel you on cravings. I don't get specific cravings usually, but I crave everything. The only time I really get specific is if I can't find it...then it drives me nuts! Last pregnancy I craved shockers candies (I always called them shock tarts). I could not find them in Kansas! My sister sent me a few rolls from Hawaii and a friend picked some up on a trip he took to IL. This time I really want a mountain dew icee. Can't find them here in Georgia so far. Makes me miss Kansas where one was around the corner from us
Looking great!! Oh the sore boobs...hate that!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to find out if team blue wins! Don't feel bad...I feel like there is something I am craving and can't seem to figure out what it is...and I'm not even pregnant! Don't get me wrong it's fun eating everything in hopes that I can figure it out.
