Questions and Answers

Thank you all so much for participating in my Ask Me Monday! I really loved reading everyone's comments and questions, you are all so sweet for caring enough to try and get to know more about me. So on to the Q&A session.
Mrs. Southern Bride asked:
1.Where do you like to shop?
Where don't I like to shop, LOL! I am a shopaholic in a recessionistas body. I can remember being in high school (no bills, no car payments, no insurance, and no wedding) and being able to spend all my "hard earned" money on whatever my little heart desired, oh how I long for those young girl days. Those were the days of Seven Jeans, Juicy Couture, and Coach purses. I still love and wear all of those things but now-a-days I find myself shopping at more wallet friendly shops i.e. Target, Old Navy, Forever 21 (who doesn't love that store), AE, and Marshall's. I still love love love JCrew, Nordstrom, Express, and Anthropologie, I just find myself being more selective when I buy something that costs a fraction of my pay. Oh and can't forget VS for my under-things. I don't care how bad the economy gets, I will never not buy my undies from them.
2. What is some of your best fitness advice?
LOL never did I dream of a day when someone would as ME for fitness tips! Hmm...I would say making yourself a priority is definitely key. If you jump into any diet/workout program half a$$ed you will not see the benefits. When I started taking my workout/dieting seriously and just doing it no matter what, that is when I started seeing the pay-offs. There is no more "I don't feel like going to the gym" I just do it. Is it hard to get up at 4:40 a.m. M-F? Hells yeah! Is it worth it? Definitely. Everyone is busy, everyone, but you have to make time (even if it means getting up an extra hour and 20 minutes earlier) to better yourself, to better your life. Without making yourself a priority nothing else will matter, eating right and losing weight will come as long as you want it for yourself.
Heather asked...
3.What are you looking forward to most about your wedding day?
Wow, what am I not looking forward to? I can't wait to see Future Mr's reaction to the Yoda grooms cake, I can't wait to see all my BMs in their pretty dresses, I can't wait to be ultra girly at the salon that morning, I can't wait to see family I haven't seen in a while, I can't wait to meet Future Mr's aunt for the first time, I can't wait to dance to our first song, and I can't wait for the father-daughter dance even though I know I will be crying my eyes out. BUT the thing I am MOST looking forward to is seeing my Future Mr's face as he sees me for the first time in my dress. I just know it's going to be a moment I will never forget. (now I'm crying, great).
4. What are you looking forward to the most about being married?
I would be lying if I said anything other than having babies, and everyone who knows me knows that's the truth. It's not because all my friends have babies, it's not because I can't wait to take our future baby and do all sorts of fun playdates, it's not because I am filling some void. It's simply because I think that creating a human being with the one and only love of my life is quite possibly the most amazing thing two people can do together. When you get married two become one but I think creating a new life is the ultimate union of two people coming together. I think I was born to be a mother and I know that Future Mr is going to make an amazing daddy. We have talked about how we cannot wait to raise our Little HoneyDew and teach them everything we have both learned from our parents.
Rachel asked
5. What's your favorite "Ohio thing"?
Hmm...I know a lot of people (me included) complain about this state and sometimes it takes questions like this for me to realize it's not all that bad. I'd say my favorite is Cedar Point! I'd go up there every weekend if I could. I love roller coasters and walking around in the sun (except when it's REALLY hot). I haven't been up in a few years and I'm really hating myself for that! I would say a close second would be buckeyes, and no I don't mean the football team. Yes I am a OSU Buckeye fan, born and raised, but the chocolate peanut butter goodness of a homemade buckeye is like heaven on earth!
Then Julie, oh Julie, asked me
6. How much do you love me?
Lots! Love you so much that I hate that you live all the way in Hot-lanta. I never in a million years would have thought I would make such a wonderful friend over the internet. You have been there with me through the worst and now you are here through during the best. Even when I was not holding up my end of the friend deal, you always held yours. I miss your face and now it's my turn to come down south to see you and that sweet little man of yours. I think it's freaky how much we are alike and love it at the same time. I know I can always just shoot you an email about anything and you will never judge. I love you!
Dollface asked...
7. Tell me about your hubby and when you knew he was "the one".
Well Future Mr is quite possibly the best combination of sweetness and rugged-ness all rolled into one. Wow this is hard to describe him in words because at times I feel like he's too good to be true. He's a sweetheart. He loves me with all of his heart and makes sure I know it. He can make me laugh till I pee my pants (literally). He is the hardest worker I have ever met, I've never seen someone so happy to work overtime or on a Saturday as he is. He will do anything for anyone and expects nothing in return. He is also a total man's man. He loves hunting, golfing, playing video games, and drinking beers. His friends love him and even though he doesn't hang out with them as much as he used to, they are very happy for him. He is also a family guy, love that. His sense of family is very strong and important to him, just as mine is to me. He plays the guitar which I love, melts my heart, and he can also play piano. I could listen to him forever. He is also very artistic, he can draw, paint, write music, and sing. He's tough. He had some serious guns when we first met and I thought it was so hot. I have always wanted a man that could hold me in his big strong arms.
I knew he was "the one" early on. Here is the story of how we met. It was funny to me because from August 2007 until we met again in January of 2008 I would think about him randomly. Then once we started talking and then dating it was like I had known him for years even though we had only been co-workers for 4 months. I'm not sure exactly when I "knew" he was "the one" but we both have lived by the motto "when you know, you know". A lot of people thought that we got engaged very soon, and yes we did, but we both just "knew". I wish I had a better answer or a more defining moment but the truth of the matter is I fell hard and I fell fast and I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Arlynn asked...
8. What's your all-time favorite meal?
A girl after my own heart, LOL. I love food, I really do. My trainer wants to put me on a no dairy, no breads/pastas diet and I just can't. I love pasta and cheese more than anything so something like a baked penne is like heaven in a dish. Pasta is my go-to meal, whether it's me cooking at home or ordering out at a restaurant, I love it all. I am also a huge mexican food freak! I love margaritas and burritos from Chipotle (I know that's not really mexican). For a while I ate it so much that I swore I had Mexican heritage, come on you can see it, right? LOL.
9. Are you more into home decor or fashion- or neither?
I would say both equally. If you would have asked me this question about 1-2 years ago it would have been fashion handsdown. I still LOVE clothes, shoes, purses, and jewelry but those things seem less important to me now, well kind of. I think it just has to do with growing up and having a place of my own but I am becoming addicted to interior design. We are still renting so I can't get as into it as I'd liek but as soon as we have a place of our own, WATCH OUT! I already have ideas for things I want to do and blogs like Holly's only make the interior decorator in me want to come out more.
10. What are the little bits of your wedding day that you're stressing over? Or are you the perfect laid back bride?
I am SO stressing over my florist. I'm sure you all remember this from last week. Well long story short I am meeting with her tomorrow to see how things go. I am really nervous but I feel like I need to meet with her face to face and see what's up. Hopefully all goes well, she does my flowers, shows up, no problems, hopefully. I am also stressing over decorations. I just have this vision in my head and it all looks so lovely and I just hope it all plays out in real life on October 3rd!

11. What has stressed you out most about wedding planning that you are suprised it has even been an issue?
I thought finding a venue was going to be so so hard. I really thought we would end up looking at hundreds of places before finding one we both agreed on. We went to one. LOL. We had an appointment at another that I canceled because we just felt like our place was perfect for us. Future Mr loves to golf so having the wedding on a golf course seemed like a no brainer. I'm not going to lie though, upon first glance the place did not have curb appeal, but after going back last week I really feel confident that we chose the right location.

12. What has been the most fun thing about wedding planning?
I'm not sure that this is considered part of the planning but my favorite thing has been taking my B pix for my Future Mr. I felt like a million bucks when I left my shoot that night and I CANNOT wait to see the look on his face when he opens them. It was something I was SO nervous about and it ended up being one of the most positive experiences of my life. I encourage all brides-to-be to do them for their future hubby!
Jennifer asked...
13. Where's one place you would never want to live?
That one is easy for me, China. I don't ever want to visit that place let alone live there. I have even joked with my bestie, K, that if I ever won a trip to China I'd give it to her. I just hate the fact that they tell you how many babies you can have and then kill off so many little girls in hopes of a boy. Disgusts me. Over population I get but there has got to be a better answer. That and it just seems like a dirty city. Smog? No thank you. Not knowing what you are eating? No thank you.
Jax asked...
14. Are you going on a honeymoon? If so where?
YES YES YES! The honeymoon is going to be amazing! We are staying 7 nights in Riviera Maya, Mexico. We have an amazing resort and a swim-up suite, all inclusive, all wonderful! Future Mr and I have never been outside of the U.S. (except Canada) so we are excited to do it for the first time together. I cannot wait!
15. If you could advise any bride to be on the first things she should definitely take care of as soon as possible, what would you say?
I would say the venue and photographer should be on your list of firsts. They were for me anyway because those were the two most important things for me. Especially if you find a venue that you love, book it!! If you are getting married in June do it FAST! June is the busiest month for weddings so whether it's the florist, DJ, photographer, or cake baker, you gotta get on it sometimes more than a year in advance.
16. If you had a day totally to just yourself and only you, what would you do?
If money were no object...I would start off by going in for a full spa day, mani, pedi, facial, massage, the whole nine yards. I love to be pampered. I would meet up all my girlfriends for lunch at an outdoors cafe and then head on out to the mall. I would literally shop till I dropped. This again is if money were not an object.

Thanks again to all the ladies who asked me questions. That was so much fun! I can't believe so many people wanted to know more about me!!!
