Hi, I'm Shannon and I Am a Neat Freak

I'm not sure where this joy of cleanliness came from but all of the sudden I am a neat freak! I can't stand when shoes are left in the living room, dishes in the sink, crumbs on the counter, or underwear on the bathroom floor. I NEVER used to be like this and my mom sure as hell wasn't this way, so where did it come from?
Mr. Husband and I spent the entire day spring winter cleaning. I must say it feels GREAT! Our laundry room was unbearable, made me not want to do laundry anymore and Mr. Husband straightened it up today and I want to throw in a load. My BFF Future Mrs. Parker always tells me I do more laundry than anyone she knows. I don't know why, could be because Mr. Husband and I each wear 2 outfits a day ???
We also got out the Christmas decorations today! YAY!! I love Christmas and we were going to wait until next weekend to do this but figure now we can actually sit back and RELAX during our 4 day weekend! I must say it feels so cozy and jolly in here now. Something about twinkling lights, garland, and snowmen that make me just want to welcome the snow! (for anyone that knows me, this is HUGE because I HATE snow!)
It's officially the holiday season in the Dew house!!!!

  1. Haha! I'm sure Brian wishes I was more a neat freak. I'm getting better about it though.

Thank you so much for the sweet comments on my post. I've really enjoyed seeing all of your gorgeous wedding pictures...even though I forget to comment most of the time (I'm trying to get better about that).

I miss you, mirror twin. I hope we can get together sometime soon. :)

  4. I am a crazy neat freak, it drives Lenny nutso sometimes, but this is how my mom was and I just picked up her habits. It could be worse, I could be a total slob. I can't wait to put up our Christmas decorations. The snow..yeah I can wait on that.

  11. there is nothing wrong with being a neat freak ;) i have always been that way. i can't stand when anything is left out because i think everything has a "home". it only takes a couple seconds/minutes to clean up after yourself and in the long run i think saves a lot of time. rather than cleaning for hours a day, just picking up and cleaning after everything you do. then you can spend days doing whatever you please :)
i'm jealous you already have your christmas stuff out!! i can't wait to get mine out next weekend!
