Weekend Update

This weekend was very festive. We went to dinner with a few of my besties at Martini's (a new fave) and then it was off to the Nutcracker! This post will also serve as an update on 1. the dress and 2. the hair.
First of all dinner was FABULOUS! I got "Columbus' Best Pasta Dish" the veal and spinach ravioli and they weren't kidding. It was fabulous!!! Mr. Husband got the gnocchi bolognese and it was AMAZING as well. All of the girls looked GORGEOUS and our friends EH & CR got engaged RIGHT before dinner! How special!

Off to the Nutcracker. Now I will say this...I saw it and now I never need to EVER again. Yeah sure the dancing is lovely and all but really I thought it was a snooze fest. There I said it. Hate me if you will but that's my honest opinion.

And then it was out for drinks and pizza. Yes we ate AGAIN after our amazing dinner.

So as you can see I chose dress #2 and I basically did the Reese hair. Now you may think "Hey, Mrs. Dew! You didn't do the Reese do, it looks darker not BLONDER!" Well my friends, when I went for my appointment they only had me down for cut! OMG! I have NEVER gone in for JUST a cut, just color yes but never just a cut! So...thankfully my hair girl does an amazing job coloring so it grows out quite nicely, but still! So we cut about an inch off the ends and added some bangs. I'm pretty happy with the final outcome. The dress on the other hand...well it didn't look as good on my curvy figure as it did on the anorexic model like it did on the model even though I loved it. Oh well, guess I rocked it anyway!

How was your weekend?

  1. My poor hubby bought me tickets to the Nutcracker two years in a row, thinking he was doing something incredibly romantic.

The first year, we were still newly dating and I didn't want to hurt his feelings.

The second year, I asked him if we could leave during the intermission, and I am fairly certain I have never seen him run so fast hahaha! We went out to a fabulous dinner instead.

I love ballets. Beautiful. But really? Two hours?

    You look super cute!

  14. I think your hair looks really cute! And, I feel you on The Nutcracker, and I'm a former ballerina! That is an intro to ballet; "real" ballets are much more interesting and more mature.
