Wedding Wednesdays (on Friday)

Sorry for the delay on this weeks WW post, my laptop has been a ROYAL PITA lately. Today I'll answer last weeks questions.
First up,Lindsey asked what my favorite wedding moment was. That's a REALLY hard one, but I'd have to say it was right after my dad gave me away to Mr. Husband. We locked hands and then I told him how handsome he looked and he told me I looked beautiful AND THEN I KISSED him! It was HILARIOUS and everyone laughed! It was just a natural reaction after not seeing him all day! The minister said "We'll get to that part!"
Dollface asked about a videographer and the honeymoon. Well we didn't hire a videographer. Mr. Husband's uncle is a professional videographer and used to work for our local news station so we knew he'd get more than enough on camera. He's currently putting together a video for us and I can't wait to see! To me videographers are a personal choice. I know some girls think they are absolutely necessary and to me they're not. I just feel like it's A LOT of money and when you're on a budget that seems like an easy thing to cut. Plus I can't imagine us ever sitting around watching that again. Personally I would splurge for a REALLY good photographer!
As for the honeymoon, a definite MUST! If you are able to take one, take one! Our honeymoon was the BEST vacation of our lives. It was pure bliss! We were treated like king and queen (as we should be) and every time I think about it I want to go back! We stayed at El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya Mexico and I would HIGHLY recommend it. They were very catering and it was absolutely gorgeous. We even went during hurricane season and it rained ONCE for 15 minutes and it was at night, can't complain!
nifer asked if I would still be around as a consultant for the other brides/future brides. My answer is OF COURSE!!! I love weddings and just because mine is over doesn't mean I still don't love them! Actually my BFF is getting married this July and I'm so happy because now the wedding madness doesn't have to end!
Speaking of BFF, Katie asked what I would have done differently. Now I'm hesitant to answer this because I think my wedding was perfect and I wouldn't have changed a THING about it. But I think if I was going to change anything about the planning process I would have shopped around more. I was so anxious to get people booked and things checked off my list so I kinda sorta went with the first person. The one vendor FOR SURE was my florist. You have all heard how awful she was, and I WISH I would have shopped around more and listened to other people!

So that's it for this week. I think I MAY be able to stretch out WW for one more week, so stay tuned!!

  4. I feel the same way about videographers. We didn't have one for our wedding just because of the price...sometimes I think I would've liked one...but I love the photos and that's enough for me :)
