Top Baby Movies

I said to Mr. Husband that now that we are moving to the country I'm going to be like JC Wiatt from Baby Boom and make our own baby food. Not surprisingly, he had never heard or seen the movie. I tried the same line on BFF,Katie, and SURPRISINGLY she had never seen it either!!! I knew immediately this called for a blog post! I have ALWAYS loved babies and all movies with babies were my favorite so here they are in no particular order.

Baby Boom {1987}
I love love love this movie and watch it EVERY time it's on TV. First of all the baby is BEYOND cuteness! The part at the end when JC walks in to pick her up and she says "mama" for the first time melts my heart! I just love love love the house she moves into {even though I don't wish her house troubles on anyone}. She makes me want to make my own baby food and live in the country {one part of that is already being taken care of}.

3 Men and a Baby
My mom will be the first one to tell you this was my ALL TIME favorite movie growing up, has a different meaning when you're all grown up. The guys in this are SO funny and I think any little girl would be lucky to have the 3 of them as her dad{s}. My favorite part is when they all 3 sing Mary to sleep, "good night sweetheart well it's time to go {doh doh doh doh}". I sing that still every once in a while. I also love when they are changing her for the first time and have NO CLUE what they are doing! In the end they really figure it all out though, don't they?

Look Who's Talking {Too}

HILARIOUS! If you have not seen either of these I suggest RUNNING to the nearest video store! The first one was hilarious with Mollie becoming pregnant and having NO CLUE what she's doing! She coined the term "squeezing a watermelon out of a lemon" {ouch!}. Then when you didn't think it got ANY cuter Look Who's Talking Too came out with my FAVORITE female comedian, Roseanne, as the voice of little baby Julie. And Julie is BY FAR the cutest movie baby EVER!

Father of the Bride Part II
What is funnier than a mother and daughter getting pregnant at the same time? {although if that happened to me and my mom I might die!} Father of the Bride Part I was amazing but I think I like Part II even better but I think that's because I am simply OBSESSED with the nursery Franc creates. I mean LOOK at it!

And this is before designer nurseries were "in".

Now to all those mama's to be if you haven't seen these please watch them within the next 9 months. Actually, scratch that, ALL women should see these!!! I feel like I'm missing some but these are the definite MUSTS!

  11. Baby Boom is one of my most favorite movies! Being from a big city and after watching this movie, I always swore that I would live in the country in a big farm house. Sooo funny that you always felt the same way. The hubs and I are talking babies sometime soon and I always think of making my own baby food! Thanks for bringing back some memories for me. :)
