A Girl and Her Dogs

I've had a lot of people ask me how the fur babies are responding to the new addition and the answer is AWESOME! The only thing we did to "prepare" them for their new sister was bring them each a receiving blanket that she was wrapped in at the hospital. that.is.it. When we actually brought her home we thought it would be a zoo but they just sniffed her and licked her tiny feet. They don't bark when she cries {unless it's a cryfest and then I almost cry}, or take her toys, or pee on her clothes {my aunt's cat actually did that to her 1st born}. They really have adjusted well. Kendall seems to like her doggies as well as any 3 week and 2 day old can. She sometimes grins when they lick her feet and it's just so cute. Casey Girl even acts like a babysitter at times. One day I was in the kitchen making coffee and KP was on the ground and when I came back in Casey was laying RIGHT in front of her as if to say "it's OK Mom, I was watching her for you"- melts my heart. Here are a few snapshots of Kendall with her dog sisters.

  2. oh my so sweet!! We think (and are hoping) our toy poodle will adjust well when the baby comes home since he's only a year, but he's very protective of me. So I'm concerned if I'm holding the baby and someone comes to pick her up from me, what he'll do..? eek!

Oh, and E had that little cherry butt-ruffled outfit...I loved it. She wore it once and then (sad), blew out her diaper, and we were out and about, had to put it in a bag--forgot about it, and ruined it. No chance it would fit her now, but still! so cute! memories ;)

  6. I am so glad they adjusted well. I have had so many people ask me what we're going to do with our dogs, as if we are going to give them away! The pictures are so sweet and it's nice to see that they are protective of KP! Love it!
