GTL? How Bout EPS?

The Jersey Shore boys and girls have 3 things they have to get done before they can party, fight, drink, hook up, act a fool, take home grenades and land-mines, dress hoochie, and those are go to the gym, tan, and do their laundry.
Here in the Dew house we have 3 things we do every day too, eat, poop, and sleep. That's right. My baby does those 3 things all day every day. If she's not eating she's sleeping and sometimes my little girl manages to poop at the same time she eats! Can you imagine doing that as an adult? Makes me vomit in my mouth a little just thinking about it.
KP is up to 4 oz now, piggy! NORMALLY she goes 3-4 hours between feedings but lately she wants to eat about every 2 hours {thankfully she sticks to the 3-4 hours at night still}. So basically we are feeding on demand. If she cries and everything else in her world is fine we feed her. I didn't want to be on a "feed on demand" schedule but my pediatrician said not too worry about a schedule too much just yet and if she's hungry feed her, whether it's 2,3, or 4 hours {KP L.O.V.E.D. hearing that}. So we do and we have a happy baby.
Poop, well what else can I say, she poops A LOT. It seems as though every diaper is a poop diaper and I think she secretly LOVES that. Thankfully they don't stink, yet. Everyone keeps telling me that Similac babies have VERY smelly poop, can't wait. She grunts, turns red, and makes THE FUNNIEST faces EVER and while it's "gross" I find it amusing.
Sleep is her middle name! The girl can sleep through ANYTHING! Vacuuming, hair drying, dogs barking and loud parties are NOT a problem for this sleepy head! I am SO thankful for that because it allows us to still maintain "normalcy" in the house. She has been more awake and alert during the day but she still sleeps a ton too. Sometimes I worry that she's sleeping too late in the day and that we are DOOMED at night but she still sleeps 4-5 hour stretches at night. Her "normal" routine is eat around 8-9, sleep, eat around 12-1, up for about an hour, sleep, eat around 4-5, up for an hour, sleep eat and "up for the day" around 8-9. I can't lie I'm OK with this schedule. Even if she stays on it when I go back to work {let's not talk about that} I'll be OK. Right now I get up with her through the week since Mr. Husband has to be alert and awake and I can take a nap, he takes the weekend shift.
Speaking of sleep, she's doing it now, I should nap too.

  2. Too funny, we're on pretty much the same exact schedule, except since mine is a few weeks older than KP, he's pooping a LOT less! I totally didn't believe my Dr when she told me that like magic one day he would stop making every single diaper a poopy one...and it didn't happen right at 4 weeks like she said, but it was close!

It's SO nice to only poop once a day! Less diaper rash, less smell, less everything. Hang in there, maybe that will happen for you too...

  3. There is plenty of time for GTL in her future! EPS is perfect for right now! Sounds like she has a nice schedule going on right now. And I am glad you are getting your rest on the weekends! You work hard during the week and need a night off!!!
