OK so I went to the dreaded 6 week postpartum visit...life as we once knew it can resume, back to work in 2 {short} weeks, BOO!
BUT this also means I can resume my workouts and get back to my pre-baby body STAT! Starting TODAY! I was only down 15 lbs {of the 39 I gained} and that is NOT ok with me. So today, Kendall napped, I did weight loss yoga, Biggest Loser style. WOW! Am I out of shape! I have never had my legs shake so much during yoga in.my.life. OMG I am embarrassed but it feels SO GOOD. I also did some ab and arm exercises and I FEEL THE BURN! I forgot how great working out makes me feel!
To hold me accountable I am {I can't believe this} posting my belly pics. Close your browser now if you don't want to be scarred for life. Here I am at 6 weeks and 1 day {weight shall remain a mystery} postpartum. I don't really like to weigh myself, never did, so I will rely on how my clothes fit {they do NOT currently} and how I look in these pictures.
YUCK! I hate looking at these. But keeping with the good news, I also found my 30 Day Shred DVD and I'll be doing that tomorrow morning! Jillian I'M READY!
You go, girl! So proud of you. You just inspired me to get off the couch and go work out! WOO! We can do this :)

ReplyDeleteI had my baby about 9 months ago, and while I've lost my pregnancy weight, I've not gained back the toned body that I used to have, or pretended to have. So I'm starting the P90X program to try and regain my pre-baby body. I'll join you on the journey! Best of luck!
ReplyDeleteIts just so refreshing to hear you're working out!! Carsyn is only 10 days old and I can't wait til I can run and do my yoga. And- I totally agree with you-I hate weighing myself-I rely on how my clothes fit. Good luck with the video!

ReplyDeleteDon't be so hard on yourself! you just had a baby, and look exactly like you should - great! You will get to where you want to be eventually. Sometimes things shift around a bit, but it's about how you feel! Smart to go with how your clothes feel and fit...i'm not a fan of the scale either!

ReplyDeletePS How do you still have 2 weeks of leave? Didn't you take 2 weeks before she was even born? I'm jealous. I only got to take 6 weeks...and since he was born on a Monday I didn't even get to sneak in any extra days!
I love your honesty and candidness! You will have your body back sooner than you know, keep at it KP Mommy, you rock! And remember it hasn't been that long, be patient with your body, it's been through a lot :)

ReplyDeleteOH SHANNON....try not to be so hard on yourself. It's hard, isn't it? You and your baby are beautiful and you look GREAT for only being 6 weeks postpartum!! Your body has been through a lot in 9+ months. Don't worry...you'll be back to your pre-baby body soon .... it just takes some patience and time. Be patient with yourself and your body .... you look GREAT! So PROUD of you...and KP is beautiful!!!! It was so nice to finally see you and your family while we were in Ohio. :)
