Lessons Learned In Florida

  • People in Florida {Floridians} LOVE babies.  I mean go gaga googoo crazy over them.  Any time we went to the store, restaurant, mall, you name it, people went NUTS over KP.  Could be that the median Floridian age is at least 48-50 and it's probably been A LONG time since they've seen a baby and/or it makes them miss their great grandchildren.  Which brings me to point #2
  • Floridians do not use Similac coupons.  All three times I bought formula I had to explain how {exactly} to ring in my $5 off coupon.  They looked at me like I had a third eye {no lady that's just a pimple between my brows, thank you}.
  • There is a reason Bumbos, Jumperoos, and swings were invented. They.Are.Lifesavers.  I cannot tell you how bored KP got laying on a blanket surrounded by toys.  Boy was I ever excited to get back to our gadget filled house.
  • There's no place like home.
  • I have the BEST in-laws, EVER.  Period.  Nuff said.
  • I L.O.V.E. soft water.  Hard water is the pits and makes my skin and hair feel yucky.  Eww.  I hope everyone has a water softener, to not have one is just a sin.
  • My child is a fish!  Girl loves the water, maybe we should move to a warmer climate!  Cannot wait to put her in swim lessons this spring/summer!
  • Vacations are MUCH different with a baby in tow.  MUCH different.  I feel like I need a vacation from our vacation.
  • A Crown Victoria {aka The Golden Chariot} is not a 6 adult, 1 baby car.  Just doesn't work {even though we made it}.
All in all KP did GREAT on our trip.  We got complimented on how well she did on both flights and I could not have asked for anything better.  Our weather was so, so but we made it work.  I am glad to be back home, but not glad to be back in Winter Wonderland {HATE snow}.

Happy Monday!

  4. Lucky girl glad you had a good trip. Know what you mean about Floridians and babys. Both my kids have been taken down as wee ones and they just get ohhed and ahhed over everywhere. But that's cool with me my kids are gorgeous and I totally understand their appeal.

  7. My cousin lives in Texas, and every time she comes to our house, she just *raves* about the soft water. So funny.
