My Wish{es}, For You

To My Buggy:
I know you cannot read yet so you will not understand the words I am "saying" to you.  I only hope one day we can look back on them, together, and I have fulfilled all these dreams and wishes.
First of all, I love you.  Everything I do, I do for you.  I know that sounds like a cheesy Bryan Adams song {even though you do not know who he is and may never} but it's true.  You are the reason I get up in the morning.  You are the reason I go to work every day.  I would much rather be home with you but sadly we cannot afford that right now so off to work I go.  So that I can provide you with the things you need.
I pray that you never want for a thing in your life.  May you have all that you need and some things that you want.  I never want you to do without.  I also don't want you to wind up a spoiled brat so don't think that means you get everything and anything because you will be disappointed.
Speaking of disappointments, I know you will be disappointed with me at times.  I know we will have fights and arguments.  I only hope they bring us closer in the end.  Always know that I want nothing but the best for you.  I hope you will be able to see that.
I promise you that I will always {try to} be fair.  I know growing up is hard {but being and adult is even harder} and there are things that will seem "unfair" to you at the time.  Just trust me when I tell you that I know best {most of the time} and whatever I say or do is for your best interest.  But I have been where you will be and speak from experience when I tell you things.
I will always be honest with you.  If you ask me a question I'll try and have the answer.  I don't know everything, even though I like to pretend I do, but I'll do my best to show you the way.  I will never lie to you or lead you astray.  You have my word on that.
Value your friends.  I know you don't really have any, yet, but you will.  Friendships are important.   Your friends are your family you chose so chose wisely.  You will have friends who let you down  and that's ok because you will have ones that stick by your side no matter what, those are your true friends.
While we're talking about relationships, be careful with your heart.  You will like boys one day, hopefully in a very very long time.  You will "fall in love" and you will get your heart broken, it's ok.  At the time it will seem like the end of the world.  You will cry.  You will feel miserable.  Just know that when The One comes along it will make up for all those tears.  I promise, I know, I felt it when I met Daddy.
Don't waste the present wishing for the future.  Life is short and time already goes by so quickly.  Live in the moment.  Do things, experience life, LIVE life because if you don't you may never get the chance.  Take risks.
I hope you live your life to the fullest.  I will be there with you ever step of the way.  You can count on me.  You can trust me.  I will love you always and forever.
xoxo,
Mama
