Tuesday Titbits

Err...Tidbits, I meant tiDbits, I swear.
So here goes.  A brain dumb of sorts. Why?  Because we love you. Just kidding it's really because I have nothing else to offer and you love pictures right?  Lots of pictures!

  • Jimmy and I got super lucky {not in that way} and had two date nights last week! Our family rocks and offered to babysit Kendall on Wednesday so we could see Avengers because Jimmy was DYING to see it.  We hit up Happy Hour beforehand and honestly?  I wish we would have stayed at HH all night.  The weather was perfection, the patio was warm, the beers were cold, it had my name written all over it.  But, we went to the dark, cold, theater where I proceeded to fall asleep and Jim-bo got his movie fix for the first time in two years.  Yep.  It had been two years since we saw a movie last.
  • Saturday we had plans to celebrate Jimmy FINALLY finishing school!  HOLLER!  And celebrate we did!  We celebrated more so the fact that my mom kept Kendall overnight, even on Mother's Day weekend!  I love that woman!  Dinner, drinks, new friends, more drinks and it was a great night.  Jimmy may or may not have told all of his friends that I'm "a famous blogger" to which I quickly corrected him and prayed they wouldn't go home and Google my ass.
  • I swore I'd never own a pair of Crocs.  I mean I was thisclose to getting a pair when I was 100 months pregnant but never could commit.  But for KP? Totes adorbs.  And they are the most practical things ever. 1. No socks required.  2. Easy to put on. So much so she can do it herself.  3. Easy clean.  If they get dirty, and they will, you just hose them down! Easy peasy!  And, in true hillbilly fashion, KP sports hers in her skivvies.
  • Speaking of that silly, gorgeous girl of mine she's looking so grown up these days.  Do you ever put the babes in an outfit and think, "well hello 13-year-old!"?  I did this weekend.  See below.
  • Spring has officially sprung and it's popping up all over our yard.  I'll spare you the gruesome details of the poison ivy that is currently covering my entire body {that's what happens when you garden in your bathing suit, so much for working on that tan}. I'm going to the doctor today in hopes of them giving me a magic cure that gets rid of it in 2.5 seconds and not a diagnosis for a flesh eating disease.  Anywho...we have mint.  Lots of mint.  So much that it's screaming "LET'S MAKE MOJITOS!".  Who's coming over?
  • Remember when I posted about how much I love getting mail?  Well last week was awesome for mail again and my favorite piece came from Etsy.  You see I had been carrying JUST my car key for sometime now.  Like just the key, no key ring, no other keys attached, JUST my car key.  Talk about annoying and easy to get lost in the purse!  Last week I took matters into my own hands and got me my very first monogrammed key chain and!
  • Because it has to be addressed, let's talk about Desperate Housewives.  **SPOILER ALERT**  Let's just say disappointed doesn't even begin to describe the way I feel about this series finale!  First of all, Marc Cherry said he knew how it would end when he wrote the pilot, well that's because no matter what would have taken place over the past 10 years the ending could have been what it was.  Pathetic.  And the new girl that moved into Susan's house?  WHO CARES?  The show isn't going on so it's not like it matters that she has a secret, we'll never find out!  Needless to say I thought it was very lackluster and could have been SO much better.  To me it just seemed like another episode, not a finale.  LAME.
And that's that.  Hope you're having a fan-flipping-tastic week so far.

  1. Love your Etsy finds! Could you share with me how you do your collages from blogger? I'm forever trying to find an EASY way and then get frustrated and give up...

  2. A little jealous of your date nights. And your hair as usual!

I need to run out and get some toddler crocs asap. "ability to spray down" is pretty much the number one quality we need in shoes right now.

KP looks so sweet and big in that outfit! The same thing happens over here too, I can't get over how fast they look grown up!

  3. Love the keychain! I may have to buy one of those for myself. :)

And, I've been searching for baby Crocs for FOREVER. Apparently it's impossible to find them in infant size 2-3. Booo. But, they're oh-so-adorable on KP. Love it.

  4. I love baby Crocs! They are M's fave shoes and now he likes to mix and match the colors when he wears them.

I want to know more about your top in the outfit pic!

  5. let me know what the doctor says? And my god you and your girl are so damn gorgeous!

  6. Ummm mojitos are my obsession! I am totally inviting myself over to enjoy one or many with you. I have never been brave enough to make my own (so sad).

    Lovin the key chain!

  7. Wait til KP goes to her first dance recital. We did pictures for Liv last night - lipstick and curls - where did my baby go!!!

  8. Okay ... you need to check out the new crocs that are out right now! I'm doing my Fashion Friday this week on Fashion Faux Pas that I swore I'd never commit, but actually did. {Buying crocs is one of them.} The new crocs don't even look like crocs! lol

  9. I'm totally jealous of your date nights too! My husband is dying to see the Avengers. I'm with you and would rather hang at HH.

    Homegirl is rocking those crocs!

  10. I love love love the baby crocs! Chloe just recently got the pink ones too! How funny is that?! Sooo cute! But this Mama would never wear then either, so I hear ya on that one!

  11. Yay! I LOVE pictures!

Cute everything and one a big HOORAY for your hubby!!!!

  12. First I LOVE that monogram key chain. Going to order one NOW! My keychain broke like last month so I have been needing a new one!

Second, I totally feel you on the DH finale. It did not hold my attention at all. I thought it was all pushed together just so it could end. Very, very lame.

  13. I feel the same way about crocs and couldn't commit to getting a pair when even my flip flops were too tight. However, I just saw a pair for Mackenzie and I will have to go get them when she finally starts walking.

  14. Agreed.
Only babies can pull off Crocs and be considered cute.

  15. I'm in love with the top you wore on the Saturday date. :)

  16. Woohoo for date nights! I love that keychain you got!
