Fitting It All In

Happy Friday ladies! Today I want to introduce you to Julie!  I've raved about Julie before but today you get to see for yourself why she is so lovely.  Please help a sister out and tell her how YOU manage to fit it all in, or not.
Hello, loyal L.A.I.D. followers!  I cannot tell you how excited I am to be guest posting here today while Shannon and the fam are beaching it....I am beyond jealous!  My name is Julie and you can find me blogging at A Beautiful Day.   My blog is tiny and undoubtedly random.  I blog about whatever is on my mind but I try not to take myself too seriously, cause that just wouldn't be any fun.  I am a mom to one amazing kid and I have two feline fur babies.
I love to scrapbook and make party favors...I won't bore you with pictures of all that, but if you are interested you can check out some of my stuff here.

When I saw Shannon's FB post asking for guest posters, I jumped at the chance.  Then when she emailed me, I admit I kind of freaked out.  What in the world would I post about?  This "little" blog of Shannon's is well over ten times larger than mine, so yes, it is a little imtimidating.  I read every day and follow on Instagram, but let's face it, stalking following and posting are two totally different beasts.  So, the topic of "how to squeeze everything in" has been churning around in my brain for the last couple of weeks.  I feel like it almost has to be an interactive conversation....meaning I need some feedback.  I figured here was as great a place as any to get some helpful tips on how to make it all work without losing my sanity in the process.

I love to blog, plain and simple.  But I will also admit that I started out pretty slow and unsure of myself.  The last few months things have really picked followers, activity on the blog and me just pretty much jumping into the deep end with no floaties.  I am not complaining....I truly am having a lot of fun!  But the problem goes back to that previously mentioned question: "How do you get organized and squeeze everything in?"  This is what my planner looked like at the first of last week:

Luckily, I have managed to get most everything marked off, but not without a lot of late night emailing and posting....this girl is tired!  And let's face it, even though things are getting marked off, things are getting added just as quickly.  I guess I should give you a few more details....I have a full time job. In addition to blogging I am also kind of addicted to the Photo A Day Challenge, I have to work scrapbooking in there somewhere, keep up with my favorite bloggers  and last but not least I gotta SLEEP (oh, and TRY to keep up with the housework and laundry - BOO)!  I forgot to mention I want to start Project Life....that won't be time consuming or anything.  So tell me ladies, any advice on how to make all this work and stay sane at the same time? I am all ears!

In addition to a A Beautiful Day, you can also find me on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Shannon, thank you so much for allowing me to take over your blog for the day.  It has certainly been my pleasure!  I hope that you are having  a wonderful time on your much deserved beach vacay!  I am sure that I am not alone when I say: I can't wait to have you back!!!!!

xoxo, Jules

  1. Good morning! Well your title of your post caught my eye for sure today hehe :)

  2. There is no human way possible that I think us women can fit in EVERYTHING that we want to fit into our already busy and crazy schedules. Prioritize, know what's important and do that first and then just forget about the rest - there's always tomorrow, right?

    Enjoyed your blog!
