SO WHAT! Wednesday

This week I'm saying SO WHAT if...

Life After I Dew

  • I had a moms day out, after a slight meltdown last week, and I spent two, glorious hours in Target.  Alone.  And then another 3 at Starbucks.  It was heavenly, ya'll.
  • I say things like ya'll and awesomesauce on this blog but never in real life.  Ever.
  • I also never call Kendall "KP" in real life.  It's just easier for typing on the Internet.
  • I won't let myself buy a new, cute pair of booties {short boots} because I know that they are not practical for my lifestyle.  Even though I really really want a pair.
  • I am evoking a "no more toys till Christmas" rule in our house.  Seriously, our playroom is overflowing to the point that I might just start purging it all during nap one day.
  • I consider myself a pioneer because I know how to start a fire.
  • Now that Jimmy's been talking about shaving his beard I kinda don't want him to.
  • I need time away from my kids every once in a while.  I think it's healthy.
  • I just downloaded the Cartwheel app.  I have a feeling this is not going to be good for the budget.
  • Jimmy and I were more excited about Monsters University coming out on DVD than Kendall.  We wanted to give it to her for Christmas but couldn't wait.
  • I didn't dress up for Halloween but the rest of my family did.
  • I never really concluded my 31 days series and I don't know if I ever will.

  1. I'm having a mommy weekend all weekend. Scrapbooking in the mountains with some girlfriends. I'm not sure what has me more excited the scrapbooking or that I will have 3.5 days of no one going mommy, mommy, mommy. It is very needed right now and I'll be in great form and ready to go next week.

  2. Girl we ALL need time away and a break! It makes us better people and better mommies. I am soooo glad you got time away. Also most weeks if I don't get sometime on Sunday to sit in a Starbucks and write it out for a few hours- I wouldn't have a blog. Also I say lots of sayings on the blog or in emails that sound great in my head/in writing, but NEVER say IRL lol- glad I'm not alone in this!!! Also thanks a million for having this link-up. I think in So Whats?! A lot- also it allows me to actually have something to write on hump day. Happy Hump Day mama!

  4. I know what you mean about not buying clothing/shoes because they're not practical. I will not wear strapless maxi dresses again until my son no longer wants to be held. He climbs up on me and pulls my shirt down most of the time anyway, so strapless stuff is out!
I loved Monsters U! Too cute!

  5. I need a moms day out!!! We do need a break from it all sometimes just to refocus and appreciate what we do have.

Monsters U is definitely on our kids Christmas list!!!

Enjoy the rest of your week!!!

  6. With Connor's birthday at the end of October and then Christmas 2 months away, I can't handle the task of finding another spot for more toys. So "NO MORE" has been thrown around our home, as well.

  8. The Cartwheel app is GREAT for your budget! I always check it before I go to Target (and sometimes during) and it really saves you a lot of money. I needed a few sweaters a few weeks ago, and I was able to get 15% off the sale price AND the 5% with my Red card. I love Target. And every mom needs a day out. I desperately need one...it's pretty bad when you consider detailing the car "me time".

  9. All the toys...I can't take it. Mia's bday, then we'll have Christmas and then Marlow will turn one. I purged once while I was on maternity leave and I'm about to purge again. I need doors on the playroom. Seriously, who needs 10 baby dolls? Spoiled much?

  10. I didn't dress up for Halloween, either. I'm always the odd one out!
The toys are taking over my house. It seriously looks like Toys R Us exploded in here. I honestly have no urge to go Christmas shopping for the kids!

  11. I got booties last year at target because my fashion blogger friend that is a mom says she wears them all the time. I definitely don't wear them every day but honestly they are a great way to take an outfit to the next level. I love having them in my closet as an option.

  12. Yeaaa. I know that I won't wear booties. They look so cute on everyone else. But-meh. I did get a pair of combat'ish type boots. I gotta break those bad boys out. I hope I can rock 'em.

  13. I've been trying to resist the dangers of the Cartwheel app. It's like, no I don't need anymore lipstick but 20% off? Maybe I do...
