Baboosh vs. Belly Bandit

Brooke Burke swears by the Baboosh Belly wrap and Kourtney Kardashian has designed her own line for Belly Bandit. Both swear that their product will take inches off your post baby belly and BAM you look like a super model. I don't know if it's pregnant brain but I'M SOLD! Has anyone tried either product? Are they worth it? Will I look like a Kardashian if I own one? These are the things I NEED TO KNOW. K. Thanks. Bye.

  2. I've heard they don't work, that they are really bulky and show through under anything close to form-fitting. :(

  3. A girl at work wears one. She never really says a whole lot about it but I guess she believes it helps.

  4. I hate contributing to bursting this bubble but I have friends who tried this and they don't work. :( I contemplated it too until I heard they are a total flop.

My best advice, wear spanks until you get your body back mama! That is what I did and at least it smoothes out the belly lumps until you get your tummy back! Spanks suck but it was nice to feel "tighter" in all those jiggly areas.

  5. I used one (it was a store brand though) and the only thing it helped with was the pain from my C-Section. I'm 2 wks PP and I still have a little belly. Also, they show through your clothes which to me kind of defeats the purpose.

  6. i have the bamboo belly bandit and i haven't been very good about wearing it because i find it kind of hot and uncomfortable. and you can definitely see it under clothes that aren't baggy. my baby is 7 weeks old now and my belly is still far from flat. maybe if i had been more regular with wearing the belly bandit, it would have helped more. i'm not sure though. one tip if you do get it...twist it so the velcro is in the back. it was much comfier for me that way.

  10. Hi. My name is Jessica and I've been following your blog for a while now (well, ever since my husband and I decided to start trying and I became obsessed with baby blogs) and I thought it was about time to introduce myself and stop being a unidentified stalker. Anyway, it's been really great to read about all the things I will get to experience since I found out yesterday that I'm pregnant (before our first anniversary)! I've been praying for a healthy happy baby for you.

  11. Hey, I used the belly bandit after my third baby...honestly I don't think it worked any faster than just plain old time and genetics did after the first two...but this is my belly after 18 months and three kids...

Also, I kind of wished I had gotten this belly wrap instead...

It's called The Cinch. The way it fastens in the back seems like it would distribute the belly skin and fat more evenly. The Belly Bandit and Tauts both wrap around and fasten in the front, and to me they distribute more weight to one side. I thought it made my belly look uneven in the beginning, and made me wish I didn't wear it. Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose! And congrats on the baby!

  12. I have used both. The Baboosh didn't help at all, I felt uncomfortable the whole time and it wasn't very sturdy. The belly bandit is what I wore with my second, I was able to get back to the size I was before I had both my children!! It's not like wearing a pair of silk pajamas but after what I went through for 40 weeks, a few more weeks in the belly bandit was way worth it. I didn't get the Kourtney one I got the bamboo--it's way softer.

  13. The baboosh taut was the best thing i ever did in my life! I have 3 kids and when i had my firts baby i asked the nurse if i should wrap my belly and she said "no the belly will go back by itself if you breast feed"" b.s! I never should have listened to her . I lost all the weight but still had a belly same with the second baby. With the third i decided to take a chance so after i gave birth to my third on the second day i wore the baboosh and wore it religiously for 40 days and nights and when i took it off and had the flattest tummy of my life people accused me of having a tummy tuck. So yes it does work but you have to commit and not eat junk as well , and in my i like baboosh better than belly bandit because it fits better and has a stronger hold .

  14. I used a cheapy neoprene wrap from Walmart ($5!) after the 4th baby, and I think it helped a lot, not only with my tummy, but to help push my hips back together. There's science behind it too- there is a hormone called Relaxin that you produce during pregnancy to allow your hips to stretch for birth. After birth, that hormone starts to diminish, but in the first 30-60 days, is still circulating. In that time, if you apply firm constant pressure to your hips, they will shrink faster. It does work, there is science there, but you HAVE to wear it about 20+ hrs a day. Three or four hrs a day won't help.

  15. My friends used Belly Bandit and others Belly Tauts before me. There is not much difference between the two.

The Bandit and Taut is good for the first 2 weeks after having a baby and you belly is the biggest and the mushiest, but once you start declining in belly size, it just spins or rides up.

Spanks are good, but not as good as a good postpartum wrap that fits well, but I guess better than nothing.

I used Sillo Belly Wrap by postpregnancyrehab.com. It was all soft material so after I starting getting my waist back, it molded perfectly as I got smaller. It was definitely stronger than Spanx, which is what I believe I needed after having a baby, and definitely more comfortable wearing than a Bandit type, especially at night.

Regardless, don't go without a wrap, I totally saw a difference between my 1st when I didn't wear one, and my second which I did. Have a great recovery.
