This week I'm saying SO WHAT if...
- I like to keep my social media outlets separate. Facebook for IRL friends and relatives, Twitter for Internet peeps and Instagram is pretty much open to anyone. That's the way I like it.
- I love hot summer days but also still crave gross rainy days now and then.
- I can feel myself becoming slightly obsessed with bathing suits this year.
- I still have Kendall's bottles in the kitchen cupboard. I'm just not ready to put them away yet.
- I had to look up how to spell cupboard.
- I know we need to work on taking Kendall's baboo {binky} away soon but I'm not ready.
- Kendall's favorite "toy" is my jar/Yankee candle collection. She will stack them all day and never tire of it like she does her real "toys".
- I went to the store for "paper towels and wipes" when in reality that meant "stuff to make cookies".
It's so crazy how things change so much. I was not intending on taking Chloe's binky or bottles away at all for a long time....but then all of a sudden it just happened. Without really even planning on it. And that was when you were planning on KP getting off the binky. It will happen for her when she is ready!! And then after that will be the toddler bed! LOL!! You never know, she might like it!!
ReplyDeleteHAH I always go to the store for healthy stuff and then end up with baking crap. Can't deprive ourselves right?
ReplyDeleteBest thing for me is my allergy to wheat. Makes me think twice about paying double for mediocrity. p.s. I move to spell cupboard the way it sounds: cubberd. Phonetics make life easy.
ReplyDeleteI always mask my shopping trips as "necessary". Really I should quit because yesterday's shopping trip for "dish detergent and bananas" turned into big bag of marshmallows which I ate half of yesterday afternoon. Ooof.
ReplyDeleteAnd please send your bathing suit obsession over here. I need a new one but can not get up the motivation to actually go try one on! (I'm sure that has nothing to do with the aforementioned marshmallows...)
I have a cabinet of bottles that needs to be cleared out, too! But if I put all the bottles away, that means I don't have a baby anymore! So they've been sitting there, taking up space for almost a year now.
ReplyDeletelol on stuff to make cookies! That's awesome :)
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing with my social media!! Haha! My sister was totally making fun of me this weekend for it.
ReplyDeleteI keep a separate Facebook account for IRL friends and family and then one for my blog. Never the two shall meet. I need the separation and there's nothing wrong with that. I don't need Great Granny reading about my vag on the blog. Ahem...
ReplyDeleteI'm not ready to get rid of the pacifier either. I'm dreading the day. Also, all of Mackenzie's 4oz bottles, that she hasn't used in months are still in our cupboard too.
ReplyDeleteThere was a point where I kept all my social media outlets separate. And then my worlds starting colliding like whoa. IRL people were reading my blog by leaps and bounds. Then requesting me on twitter. And then IG is EVERYONE and now I'm all OMG. SO basically I just quit twitter bc I couldn't handle it & have had to accept that anything I say or do is pretty much open to everyone and anyone. Ha. Oh internets...

ReplyDeleteI feel the SAME EXACT WAY about social media!
ReplyDeleteso what if I absolutely want to pee my pants at the thought of coming to see you!!
ReplyDeleteAt least you CAN take away the binkie when you're ready - Liv still sucks her thumb. I should have been an orthodontist!

I do the exact same with social media. And I just took away my baby's paci. Much harder on me than it was on him!
ReplyDeletelvoe this! SO WHAT if i get a bagel every day from the cart guy, its good!
ReplyDeleteI always do that when I go to the store. I get distracted by cake mix and stuff that looks so yummy!
ReplyDeleteP Man had his binky forever. Everyone kept telling me to get rid of it...but honestly, it wasn't hurting anybody, right? And it kept him happy for pete's sake! Truth be told...I waited till he was "ready" to give it up and then...it was easy as pie! Just my 2 cents! HA!
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way about social media, especially when I had FB. I would never accept a friend request from someone IRL on Twitter.
ReplyDeleteStay in your lane, homie!
I keep my social medias separate, too! I really haven't been public about my blog in my real life, but am thinking of combining them soon!!!
ReplyDeleteI want to make those no bakes, too! How did they turn out?!
Totally don't stress the pacifier thing. My oldest had hers at night till she was 3!
ReplyDeleteoh my goodness! i love the paper towels and wipes list at the grocery store and you really ended up buying cookie stuff. great cover!
ReplyDeleteI do the SAME exact thing with my social networking sites! Just seems fitting for me!
ReplyDeleteWe've been thinking of ditching the num-num (pacifier) too. How are you planning to do it? I'm thinking cold turkey maybe, or just for naps/bed/car.
ReplyDeleteI crave rain every now and then, too! i think it helps me relax!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to figure out my social media separation. i ignored facebook requests for about 6 months : / ...then I gave in.
I don't let IRL friends follow me on Twitter. Im having a hard time with everyone being on Instagram. And FB is IRL friends and a few bloggers I consider friends. It still seems like worlds colliding when they overlap in anway!
ReplyDeleteAnd E still has a Wubbie (paci). Don't care. It keeps her "baby"!
uhohhh... bathing suit obsession? welcome to the dark side
