To say that I have felt the love from my readers in response to my results from the 30 Day/300 Ab Challenge would be an understatement. From Twitter, to Facebook, to Pinterest, to the comments on this blog to personal emails, you guys have shown me the love and for that I want to say THANK YOU! Seriously. You rock my socks. Hard.
As promised, Jimmy has been on board the 300 train too. He's skipped days here and there but in his defense he does work a physically challenging job 5 days a week, so we'll cut him some slack. He usually gets up in the morning, before work, around 5 and just cranks it out. If he doesn't then he'll usually come home from work and do it really quick or at night when we're watching Cougar Town. He's seen results and each week he says how he feels better, not only because he looks better but because he's feeling stronger too. Need more proof?
Yep, that's my man. I mean I think he looked great before but the after is even hotter. Ow! Ow!
Many of you said that you were up for the challenge too! Yay you! The first step is getting started. The hardest step is getting through days 1-4. The best part is seeing the results in such a short period of time, talk about motivation!
With that being said, I want to see your results! I want to hear how you were cursing me {and this challenge} on day 3. I want to read about when you found the time to squeeze it into your day {it's only 15 minutes after all}.
My goal is that those of us that are doing this can share our success stories and motivate others to get off the couch and join in. Not only do I want to inspire people to get fit but I want to prove that it is possible for anyone. If you want it, you can get it. Like I said, this routine takes about 15 minutes {20 tops} and everyone, yes everyone, has 15 minutes to do this for themselves {if they want to}.
I'm hoping that people are brave enough to post their results, whether on day 1 or 15 or 30 or even 60. Trust me, I know it's hard to put yourself out there like this, for the world to judge, it is. But the reward is so worth it. I'm not talking about the, "holy shit! you look amazing!" comments {although those are so so nice} I'm talking about the, "thank you for posting this, I didn't think I'd make it past day 2 but I did and feel GREAT!" comments. Those make my heart happy. To see that I got someone motivated enough to do something about their fitness, gosh it's enough to make me tear up. No, really. I've never been one to see myself as a influencer of any sorts. I've always been an on-the-sideline kinda girl and so when I hear that you saw my journey/results/story and it inspired you, well that makes posting my flab all over the world wide web totally worthwhile.
I'm thinking that this may wind up being a new page in the title bar on this here blog, for ease of tracking/finding/linking up purposes. I'm not sure yet, you tell me!
So let's hear it! What has been the hardest part thus far? What day are you on? Is your significant other doing it with you too? When do you find the time to do it? Have you seen results yet?

Im just starting into week two. You were right day 1-4 were the hardest and I was cursing you REAL bad! But honestly, even after a week, Im starting to see a difference! I will totally link up! xo
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a monthly or biweekly link up. I don't want to forget to see the results if it's a tab on your page. I love seeing results of this kind of stuff. :)
ReplyDeleteI am earmarking this post to remind myself to jump on the bandwagon as soon as I get my clearance! You guys have seen AWESOME results and I can only hope to do the same! Hottie totties!!
ReplyDeleteI was going to start yesterday, but I am meeting with a personal trainer today and thought I should actually be able to do something. Haha. I will DEFINITELY start soon. Can I hire you to come to my house and yell at me to do it every day?
ReplyDeleteTomorrow will be might start date. I have to run today. (Yeah my crazy ass decided to do a 1/2 marathon.)

ReplyDeleteSo did you all just follow http://kayciesantics.blogspot.com/2012/03/300-ultimate-ab-and-core-challenge_22.html
for what to do? or did you get the actual p90x dvd? I want those abs too!
I don't have a blog so I can't link up, but I started today. I run half marathons regularly and thought I was in great shape, but this absolutely killed me. Some were so hard I had to rest at 10....and 20... I know I'll curse you the next few days but hopefully the results will make it worth it!
ReplyDeleteSo I didn't post my pictures up yet, but I'm doing this as you know! I'm linking up now and will be back to shout out to you the results!
ReplyDeletethis sounds like a great challenge! (new follower) i mentioned it to the hubby and he said we could totally do it together. what a great accountability right here!
ReplyDeleteI just took before pictures and measurements...getting ready to start my first day. I'm nervous and excited! Once I have a blog post up about it I'll link up. Can't wait for results :)
ReplyDeleteI'm doing this! I did day 3 tonight! Although, I have to admit... I do a very modified version. I do crunches for all of the full sit up moves I can't do. I hope that's ok? I figure I should feel myself getting stronger throughout the 30 days and hope to be able to do the full moves. Thanks for being an inspiration! I don't know how I recently just found your blog/twitter but I appreciate your weight loss not being all
ReplyDeleteLOOK AT ME BIA! I'M SKINNY NOW! LOOK AT MY OUTFIT! I'M SKINNY NOW! LOOK AT THIS OUTFIT! I'M SKINNY NOW!
Too much? Sorry. But, from a chubby girl, I appreciate when people are honest about the fact that they can't resist bbq on the weekend and aren't all IN YOUR FACE about their success. Humble? Appreciated. Don't get me wrong, I realize what a HUGE feat and accomplishment losing a substantial amount of weight is, I DO. And you have rocked that! Thank you!
Okay, so I stumbled upon this blog post and I love it! I am so scared to do this to be honest. What I love about you though is your real and honest. That makes me feel like I can do it! I am starting today.

ReplyDeleteYou look amazing. I am trying to get started on a healthier lifestyle. I have looked through your blog, but I can't seem to find an explanation of what 30 Day/300 Ab Challenge actually is. I'd love to try it! Thanks
ReplyDeleteI would like to know how to find this ab challenge. I would really like to start feeling better about myself and if you can do this in 15 minutes at night as opposed to an hour I am sure i can do that. :) please help me find this.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else get a burn on their tailbone? Like, on the top part of your butt? I got one from leaning back from the moves and its making it hard to do it since it hurts, plus I'm sooo sore after 2 days of doing it (muscles etc.) I'm wondering if I should take a day off to recover a bit, or push through it.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else get a rug burn type thing on the top of their butt/tailbone area? I got one on day 1 and it hurts pretty bad when trying to do the moves.
ReplyDeleteAlso, did any of you take a break for a day or so to let sore muscles recover? My upper legs are killin me!
I know you posted this quite awhile ago.. But I had to wait until post baby to start it. Started 2 days ago. Omg. I am sooo sore!!! I feel like a wuss because I have absolutely zero abdominal strength after two babies and I'm not very good at it, lol.
