#chewforchange

I don't know about you but the first few weeks at home with a new baby are a blur. So much snuggling, lack of sleep, the last thing on your mind is making a nice hot dinner.  When James was born I was fortunate enough to have my mom here with me for a full week and she made us dinner every night that week {with enough left over for Jimmy's lunches} and that was the best. Not having to worry about doing one.more.thing while caring for a new baby is the best gift I could ask for.  Read more, here.

  1. I agree, thank God for my mom. We moved down to NC when D was 2 weeks old. My mom stayed with us for 2 weeks because Dave was back to work and I had to go back at 4 weeks ( like D was literally 4 weeks when I went back). I look back, and I'm glad my mom was there help me and shape me. She was amazing. So grateful to have a strong support system.

  2. I was happy to have my mom here and make us dinner every night of the week and then froze a weeks worth of dinners too. It takes a load off. I read up on what that gum is about, I never really read into it or put a second thought into it. I think it is an awesome idea. I like to pay it forward when I can.
