I'm Not BeachBody Ready...Yet

If there's one thing I love about losing weight {minus my clothes getting looser} it's hearing people tell me that I motivated them. That seeing my 5am workout pic on IG made them get out of bed and burn some calories.  It makes me feel so good to know that I am putting good vibes out there.

My weight loss journey is a little bit different than a lot of others.  I've never been overweight, per se, until after I had my babies. My body really loves being pregnant and goes all out.  I gain a lot, 40 lbs each time.  I swore I wouldn't gain that much the 2nd time around and I did anyway, even though I worked out far more than I did when I was pregnant with Kendall.  But, oh well.

Losing weight is something I like to think I'm good at.  After Kendall was born I dropped 47lbs in 7 months and so far I've lost 51 lbs since having James 6.5 months ago.  Maintaining is another thing, I wasn't good at it last time.  From the time I hit my goal weight in September 2011 until I got pregnant with James, November 2013 a pesky 15ish lbs crept their way back to my body.  So I'm officially under my pre-pregnancy weight with James but still over my goal weight.

I still have about 23lbs until I hit my new goal weight but I'm on the right track.

To get to this point I have strictly been counting my calories and exercising if/when I can.  I drastically cleaned up our diets and we try to eat as clean as possible.  Not saying that we eat clean 100% of the time, because we don't, but we make way better choices these days.  My workouts thus far have consisted of the occasional treadmill circuit and some at home DVDs mixed in with some PopSugar workouts here and there.  Doing just that has gotten me far but I'm ready to take it to the next level.

I was approached to become a BeachBody Coach back in January and at first I was all, "Who me?"
because at that point I had only lost about 30lbs and was feeling everything but inspiring.  I prayed about it, read a lot and when I read that the best time to join is in the middle of your weight loss journey I thought, "That makes perfect sense because people can literally watch you transform using the program." And I signed up that day, last Wednesday.

As a coach I want to help you reach your weight loss and fitness goals.  Need a text at 6am to get your booty out of bed?  I can do that!  I love helping people see that they, too, can do whatever they put their mind to!  I know that I have pushed MY body further than I ever thought it was capable of and it feels so good.

Currently I am doing the T25 program from BeachBody and loving it.  I had seen the infomercial for it a while back thinking, "Man! That looks cool! And only 25 minutes?!"  And here I am doing it.  It's great because it's total body.  It's 25 minutes, 5 days a week, for 10 weeks.  Each day is a different workout which is great because you don't get bored and you prevent plateauing because your body is constantly changing.  So far I LOVE these workouts.  Yes they are intense. Yes I feel like I'm going to die some days.  But it's 25 minutes and it's done.  I know that this workout is going to take me to the next level and get me to my final goal.  I have before pics and when I'm finished with the 10 weeks I will happily share my results.

I've created a FB page for all things fitness related.  I realize it might get annoying to see it on my regular blog page so this can help keep everything more organized, for me anyway.  I am doing a 7 day clean eating challenge and will be posting lots of helpful information for anyone who is looking to start clean eating but don't know where to begin {including shopping lists and meal plans}.  I would love for you to join in on this challenge.

Do you love fitness?  Do you enjoy helping others reach their fullest potential?  Maybe you'd just like a great discount on some amazing fitness programs {P90X,T25, INSANITY, etc}.  Maybe you would like to make a little cash doing something you love, from your home.   BeachBody may be for you!  If you want to know more information about becoming a coach, please let me know.  If you are interested in products I'd be happy to help you find the perfect program for you.

I should also note, I am no expert.  I don't want to be an expert.  I don't claim to know everything about health, fitness, clean-eating, etc but I do know what has worked for me over the past few years and I love sharing that with people.  As I have always said, if I help just one person reach their potential then it's all worth it.

  2. You look amazing...I would love to get into something like this but it's hard when moolah is tight. I keep gaining and I'm trying to get into really good shape before I get pregnant so it's easier afterwards. So far, not much luck haha. I do keep seeing your butt up early on IG and I'm hoping some of your 5am club motivation rubs off on me!

  6. At my first babe the weight melted off, I have a fear this time won't be so easy - therefore I am looking at options now that I can do at home mostly. Good to know that T25 is doable and fun! You look great!
