Summer Favorites Tag!

The lovely Lindsey tagged me in the summer favorites tag!! I am honored to do this as summer is my favorite season EVER and I'm so sad to see it turning to fall. Here are my summer loves.

  • Favorite Summer Movie: Definitely, 100%, hands down, no questions asked, without a doubt The Hangover. If you have not seen it yet RUN to the theaters. I am in line the day this comes out on DVD. Probably, no actually it IS, my favorite movie, EVER.

  • Favorite Summer Cocktail: Well this one is a little harder but I'm going to go with my blueberry vodka tonics with lime. YUM-BO!

  • Favorite Summer Song: Probably We Went Out Last Night by Kenny Chesney. LOVE this song and makes me want summer to last even longer!

  • Favorite Summer Meal: Nothing beats a cheeseburger, fries, coleslaw, potatoe salad, and a nice cold beer! YUM!

  • Favorite Summer Outfit: Anyone that knows me knows this is a no brainer! DRESSES! I am completely obsessed! I love dresses because they are SO easy and comfy and you can dress them up or down depending on the occasion. I pretty much wear one every day in the summer.

  • Favorite Summer Reading: Bet you all guessed it, sTORI telling by Tori Spelling! What a great mindless summer read! Seriously I'm not a Tori fan normally but this book made me fall in love with her.

  • Favorite Summer Memory: Our trip to OBX for sure. That was our first beach trip together and we could NOT have asked for a better vacation. I want to go back every year now.

I'm passing this on to:

WooHoo!!!

Look who's back on blogger at work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!

It's MY Body

Sorry in advance if this post is TMI.

I have been having "lady" issues for the past month, and by that I mean I have had my "friend" for over 4 weeks now. I'm not exactly what is going on with my body (I have an OB/GYN apt September 21 don't worry) but I'm pretty sure my birth control has something to do with it. I have been on the pill since I was 15 (over 10 years). I tried Yaz, which made me a ragging lunatic a hot mess. I am now on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and while it doesn't make me cry everyday, I think it's starting to have a negative affect on my body (low sex drive, dryness, weight gain, moody, etc) and I'm OVER IT!
I approached Future Mr about going off of it last night, thinking he'd slam on the breaks right away, and he tells me that he's perfectly a-ok with it, saywhat!? Yeah he says he thinks that birth control is the devil and it does all kinds of crazy/unnatural things to your body and he agrees I should go off it.
Baby? Maybe. I told him that he realizes what can happen when I don't take it and he informed me that he's ok with that happening too. SHUTUPRIGHTNOW (thanks Hailey, I totally stole that from you). Am I talking to the same Future Mr that wanted to wait AT LEAST a year after we were married to have a baby? The same one who says he isn't ready yet since he's only 24? Yep. He says he's ready now. We will be married in a little over a month and he just wants to wing it I guess, if it happens it happens. God knows what we can handle so He will give us a baby when He knows it is time for one.
For now I am really looking forward to not worrying about what I'm doing at 10 pm because it's BC time! I am really hoping to send Aunt Flo packing ASAP, she has over-stayed her welcome.

Hi, Friends

In case you were all wondering where I went and why my blog has been neglected I will tell you.
  1. Work has BLOCKED blogger. That's right. Those bastards! That's where I did all my writing! Which forces me to write at home. Which brings me to my next point.
  2. Future Mr and I are in the process of redecorating/painting our place. Don't worry, pictures to come. So far I'm in love.
  3. I am exhausted. I am litterally laying in bed with the dryest eyes in the WORLD because all they want to do is close.
So for those of you who feel neglected because I haven't been commenting as usual, I'm sorry. Trust me, if I could help it I'd be commenting on EVERY SINGLE post each of you made. I promise to resume to normal blogging just as soon as possible.

This week I am thankful for:
  • Future Mr's determination. I mentioned painting the bathroom for a split second and what is he doing? Painting. It's going to look so much better than that STARK white! YUCK!
  • My wonderful seamstress. Met with her last night and she's just fabulous. She is absolutely in love with my dress and always makes me feel like a million bucks!
  • $3 burger nights! Buck Mulligan's (an Irish pub nearby) has $3 burgers every Wednesday night! Seriously! And not just boring ole smashed burgers, real, good, fat hamburgers! YUM!
  • Days off from the gym. It's nice to just sleep in a little and have coffee with my love in the mornings every once in a while.
  • FMIL. She threw me an amazing shower and I could not have asked for it to be more "me". She's the best MIL I could ask for.
  • Presents! Not just b/c it's fun to get new stuff but b/c it's forcing us to do some serious cleaning! We now have 3 vacuums! OMG! Now we are able to give some of our stuff away to my future brother-in-laws that just moved out. Merry Christmas to them!
  • Chicken salad sandwiches. I could eat one every day. I love.
  • Windows open. It's been cooler here lately and it's nice to get some fresh air blowing through after being couped up for months!
What are you thankful for?

Wedding Wednesdays

Today I am going for my second to last dress fitting! Eeek!!! I cannot wait to go put it on again. This time it will be sewn, loosely, so it will fit a lot better. I love it. My grandparents came up from FL this weekend to help with wedding festivities so my grandma will FINALLY get to see me in it! I can't wait to show her! I better bring some tissues!
We keep getting presents at home and it's so much fun! I don't know what is going to happen when they all stop coming, talk about a sad day! LOL. I am still registry stalking and saw someone got our toasting flutes and cake cutter! How cute are these? They say Mr. & Mrs. on them...I die!

Future Mr's most exciting gift? A dehydrator that he will be able to make deer jerky with this fall.

Oh the differences between men and women.
Also...now that the invites have gone out, I thought I'd share them! I am absolutely IN LOVE with them. People have started receiving them and the feedback has been all positive. Everyone keeps raving about how pretty they are, how nice the paper is, and how they can't wait for the date! Thanks again to Miss Katie for doing such a wonderful job!

Sunday is my second shower, hosted by my mom. I can't wait to see my family and friends and enjoy a nice girly afternoon. Hopefully I'll have better more pics to share this time.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week, happy hump day!!!

Shower Part I

Wow, oh, WOW! My shower was a success. I could not have asked for a better party. My FMIL did such a great job and I know she loved every minute of being girly for a day. We got so many great gifts and I am still trying to find a spot for all of it in our place. I don't know what we are going to do come next Sunday, let alone the wedding, this condo can not hold all these presents!!! So without further ado...here are some pics.
My adorable cake

Presents!!!

Opening

Yay trays for breakfast in bed!!

Beautiful frame for wedding pics!

Such a beautiful gift. A cross with the "Love is patient, love is kind" scripture engraved and our names in the middle. I almost cried.

I wish there were more pics, but I wasn't the one behind the camera so this is it for now :-( I am still register stalking, LOL.

All About Us!

I stole this from Hailey {surprise, surprise}

♥ What are your middle names?
Shannon Renee Elizabeth
James Christopher

♥ How long have you been together?
1 year and 4 months

♥ How long did you know each other before you started dating?
8 months

♥ Who asked whom out?
I'd say I did. He asked me for my number though but then I was tired of waiting for him to call, call me impatient, so I sent him a message saying "we need to hang out!"

♥ How old are each of you?
me- 26
him- 24

♥ Whose siblings do/did you see the most?
His, but only b/c I am an only child!

♥ Do you have any children together?
2 Fur babies, Casey & Chanel

♥ What about pets?
Casey Girl- Future Mr's Brittany Spaniel. The BEST behaved, most chill dog I have ever met. She's so easy-going and honestly sleeps ALL DAY and she's only 4!
Chanel Belle- Very high-maintenance! I wanted a Yorkie but someone my mom works with had Pomeranian pups and I just couldn't resist the sweet faces. 3 years later she's still a handful! I wouldn't trade her for the world though! She's my snuggle bunny!

♥ Did you go to the same school?
Nope! I'm an OU Bobcat and Future Mr is just now in the electrical trade school.

♥ Who is the smartest?
Him, for sure. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the smartest cookie in the jar.

♥ Who is more sensitive?
ME for sure! I cry at anything!

♥ Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Hmm...we don't eat out too much. I'd say Gahanna Grille. They have THE BEST french fries in all of Columbus. LOVE it there!

♥ Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Oklahoma City

♥ Who has the craziest exes?
Probably me b/c Future Mr doesn't really have any exes, I was his first SERIOUS girlfriend.

♥ Who has the worst temper?
Him for sure. I have a lot more patience than he does for certain things.

♥ Who does the cooking?
Me. I love love love to cook, I miss doing it too. Future Mr claims he used to be quite the cook before I moved in w/him. I'm not sure I believe that.

♥ Who is more social?
Me! I am a social butterfly! I love to go out not b/c I want to eat out dinner, or pay for expensive bar drinks, but just for the social aspect of it.

♥ Who is the neat-freak?
ME! I have become this anal retentive neat freak in the past year. I have no idea where it came from b/c my mom was never this way but now I always want the place to be neat b/c "what if someone stops over"- never happens.

♥ Who is more stubborn?
Me. I will hold a grudge till I die, I swear, how awful. Future Mr is always the first one to come kiss and make up. <3 him for that.

♥ Who hogs the bed?
The dogs!!! I swear I never thought a little 12 pound dog could take up so much room!!! Although they aren't supposed to be in bed when we are they sneak up sometimes. Future Mr definitely though. I will get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and he's completely taken over ALL the covers and is on my side of the bed. Should I be worried? LOL.

♥ Who wakes up earlier?
Me. I wake up at 4:40 during the week to go to the gym before work and the weekends the LATEST I can sleep is like 10 (and that's only if we were up REALLY late or drinking the night before). Future Mr is still sleeping now and it's 9:30.

♥ Where was your first date?
Bar Louie and Gameworks, the BEST first date EVER!

♥ Who has the bigger family?
Him, hands down! We always joke that we're going to have his family sitting on my side during the wedding b/c I'm sure they'll run out of seats on his side.

♥ Do you get flowers often?
not as much as I'd like. I would take new flowers every day if I could, LOL. Brat? Maybe. I know they just die anyway but there is something so beautiful about a bouquet of new flowers on the table.

♥ How do you spend the holidays?
Driving! The city that his family celebrates in is about 45 minutes to an hour away from where mine does. Then his family also likes to have multiple celebrations so we usually end up going to 3 locations. Busy, busy!

♥ Who is more jealous?
I'd say neither.

♥ How long did it take to get serious?
Immediately! I was hooked on our first date! I moved in w/him 2 months later.

♥ Who eats more?
Probably me! I can eat just as much as him, which is sad and sick.

♥ Who does/did the laundry?
Him. That is the one chore that he loves doesn't seem to mind. I do not complain.

♥ Who’s better with the computer?
Probably me just b/c I'm on it a lot more.

♥ Who drives when you are together?
Mostly him. Now that I have a new car I drive a lot more often but he still drives the most.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I'm off to my first bridal shower! Pics to come!!!

August 22, 2009

{ATTENTION}

To all the brides out there, a word of advice (as if you care), please please do not let the stresses of the final months of wedding planning overwhelm you. The other day I posted how I was so miserable stressed. I think I was being a drama queen over-reacting. Yes the process of planning a wedding can be crazy and chaotic sometimes but you cannot let it get to you. I was a bridezilla earlier this week and I could see the affect it was having on my relationship. I am not this crazy, detail obsessed, materialistic girl. I was making too many lists and looking at The Knot too much and it all seemed to big for me to handle.
My Future Mr told me that this wedding is going to happen, and be amazing, regardless. The important things are not the flowers, the centerpieces, the songs, the food, the important thing is the union between two people who fell in love. That was my mindset in the beginning, but the closer it was the more I was letting unimportant things take over. Thank God I have an amazing man by my side to keep me grounded and remind me that I'm getting out of control.
Since I let go of all the things I can't control I feel so much better and I can see the difference in my relationship. We are having fun together again. We are being silly and dancing and singing stupid songs. We are being us again, not just Bride and Groom. It feels great! Now I am approaching this wedding planning with a whole new perspective and if it gets done, great; if not, oh well.
So please girls, do not let wedding stuff consume your life! Trust me, been there done that, it's not worth it. Take time to talk about something other than your wedding with your groom. Have fun and be that fabulous couple you were before you were engaged. That's what it's all about.

Today I am thankful for:
  • My wonderful FMIL for helping me with my wedding stresses. She is such a positive person and knows how to cheer me up always!
  • My mother. She spent all night helping me assemble invitations (way past her bedtime) and I couldn't have gotten them out without her.
  • My new coordinator at my reception site. She's been amazing and gets back to me very quick, which is something I totally appreciate.
  • My friends Julie and Hailey. Julie has listened to me complain about all my stresses this week and Hailey is so sweet and sending me an adorable dress that didn't work for her, hopefully it works for me!! Look How cute!

  • sTORI telling. Love this book! I think it's the fastest I've ever read a single book, I cannot put it down!
  • Future Mr (as usual). I have been a hot stressed out mess this week and he has dealt with me with such grace. He is a saint.
  • Cooking. I love to cook and bake, love it. I haven't done much of it lately b/c I have been so busy w/wedding stuff and with Future Mr being gone it just seems unnecessary. WELL...He is off 3rd shift and invitations are done so I'm back in the kitchen tonight!
What are you thankful for?

Wedding Wednesdays

Wow so much is going on in wedding land that I think my head might spin!
First things first, Future Mr and I are doing invitations this week. It's crunch time so we are trying to get these together by the end of the week, I think we're making some serious progress.
Here's Future Mr bright and early, looks thrilled doesn't he?
Taping away!
sneak peek
workstation
And don't even get me started on our "guest room". WOW is it becoming a hot wedding mess. Don't believe me? Take a look at this picture, that takes up one wall in the room and that is all wedding crap in those bags! OMG!
I still can't believe the wedding is only weeks away. It's really starting to stress me out, I'm not going to lie. It's especially hard b/c with Future Mr working nights I feel like it's all on me. I know he is tired and so I don't want to bother him during the days with things but at the same time, it's wearing me thin. I just keep making lists and lists of things that need done/bought/printed/assembled/ordered/etc and it makes my head spin. At times I feel like I'll never have enough time or money to do and buy all that I need.
My grandparents are coming up from FL this week and my grandma is the original Martha Stewart so it will be so nice to have her creative, helping hands around. I can't wait to put them to work see them!
And my first bridal shower is this Sunday and I cannot wait!! Showers and parties make the whole thing seem so much more real. Like it's all coming together finally!!! Yes I am still registry stalking so I *sorta* know what's coming, bad girl!
So that's this week in a nutshell. I'm back to invitation land now!

I'm Lucky I'm In Love With My Best Friend

Lucky by Jason Mraz featuring Colbie Caillat
Jason Mraz:
Do you hear me, I'm talking to you
Across the water, across the deep blue ocean
Under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm trying
Colbie Caillat:
Boy I hear you in my dreams
I feel your whisper across the sea
I keep you with me in my heart
You make it easier when life gets hard
Duet : Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh
They don't know how long it takes
Waiting for a love like this
Every time we say goodbyeI wish we had one more kiss
I'll wait for you I promise you, I will
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home again
Lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
Jason Mraz:
And so I'm sailing through the sea
To an island where we'll meet
You'll hear the music fill the air
I'll put a flower in your hair
Colbie Caillat:
Though the breezes through trees
Move so pretty you're all I see
As the world keeps spinning round
You hold me right here right now
Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat:
I'm lucky I'm in love with my best friend
Lucky to have been where I have been
Lucky to be coming home againI'm lucky we're in love every way
Lucky to have stayed where we have stayed
Lucky to be coming home someday
Ooohh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooooh ooooh oooh oooh ooh ooh ooh ooh

These are the lyrics to our first dance song. I love it. It fits us perfectly b/c I always tell Future Mr that he is my best friend. Originally we were going to use The Luckiest by Ben Folds but once I heard this one I knew it was the song! I can't wait for 50 more days till I'm dancing under the moonlight with my new husband.

Today I am thankful for:

  • The best girlfriends a girl could ask for! I cannot wait to spend the entire weekend with my girls, we are going to have a blast!
  • My job. We are going through a BIG transition here and I just hope and pray that it doesn't mean mass layoffs or anything scary.
  • Dishwashers. Ours is STILL broken so I am STILL washing dishes by hand, not fun.
  • Reading. Future Mr loves loves loves reading and he is a fast reader and sets reading goals for himself which makes me want to read more. I have read more books this year than I have in all the other years combined. Currently reading: sTORI telling by Tori Spelling, it is HILARIOUS!
  • Sunday Fundays. We had a blast this past Sunday at the bar/pool with Future Mr's friends. They always know how to have a good time and I always appreciate their carefree-ness.
  • My new vacuum! OMG it's amazing to say the least!!! You can't even tell dogs live here now!
  • Luna bars. Yummy! And I never knew they are made for women?! Perfect post-workout, mid-morning snack!
What are you thankful for?

Wedding Wednesday Part 2

I totally forgot! I have been doing some registry stalking this week, something I swore I wouldn't do but now I'm addicted (BAD bride-to-be!)!
Well Future Mr just called and said we got our first gift delivered to the house!! Our vacuum!! Never in my wildest dream think I would be so excited over a stinkin' vacuum but our old one had seen better days! PLUS this one is for pet hair so bye bye Casey and Chanel hair, you will not bug me anymore! I can't wait to go home and vacuum! Is it 5 o'clock yet?

Wedding Wednesday

Wow can you believe only 52 more days! Holy sneaking up on me fast, right
Hailey?
Well I can say we had a VERY productive weekend as far as wedding things go!
Friday: Met with the venue and did our food tasting and it was a SUCCESS! The food was so yummy! For cocktail hour we will be having displays of fruit, veggies and cheese and crackers. Appetizers for dinner will be an antipasto tray with rustic bread and a mixture of sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms, meatballs and Italian sausage (the men LOVED this). Dinner will be salad, Italian style green beans, baked penne with chicken, pasta with shrimp in garlic and olive oil sauce and a baked Italian style chicken. As you can see, we are having all Italian food, my favorite (and my family is Italian so it works). I realize that I will be eating pasta in a white dress, that's why we went with the shrimp pasta (in a clear sauce). I can't think of anyone that doesn't like Italian so hopefully all the guests will be happy!
We got to take the grand tour of our venue, see where the girls will get ready, how the tables will be arranged, how the guests will be seated during the ceremony, where the alcohol will be, and how and where I will walk out from. The new girl in charge of our venue was so helpful and gave me lots of ideas and recommendations, I felt so much better after we left Friday night, so did Future Mr.
Saturday: we went to Men's' Warehouse with the best man and picked out what tuxes the groom and groomsmen will be wearing. We were pretty limited as only one set came with the matching lapis vests and tie, so that one it was! Future Mr will be wearing the same Calvin Klein tux but in ivory, just so happens that the ONLY lapis vest and tie set was the only one I liked so that worked out!
Sunday: we went over to the jewelers (again) and picked up my ring, LOVE IT, and sent Future Mr's in to be worked on again! We have had his ring sized (I think) 4 times and it still isn't right. His knuckle is fatter than his finger so it fits over the knuckle but when it's around his finger it's too loose. So we can't size it again or he won't get it on and we had sizing beads put in the last time and they were 1. uncomfortable and 2. he could BARELY get it off once it was on. SO NOW they are going to remove the beads and instead put a layer of gold around the inside of the band (sort of like a horseshoe) and I'm PRAYING that works!

Today I am meeting with the florist. My mom and dad are both going, so hopefully she can give us some sort of reassurance and we leave there happy campers. I really love her work and want to use her so hopefully she'll pull through.

AND...

This weekend is BaChElOrEtTe WeEkEnD!!!

I can't wait to go away with the girls this weekend! I'm not certain of what they have in store for me but I know we will have a blast! I will say, I am going to miss Future Mr a lot though since I haven't seen him all week thanks to 3rd shift :-( I will try and take lots of pics to share when I get back!!

Questions and Answers

Thank you all so much for participating in my Ask Me Monday! I really loved reading everyone's comments and questions, you are all so sweet for caring enough to try and get to know more about me. So on to the Q&A session.
Mrs. Southern Bride asked:
1.Where do you like to shop?
Where don't I like to shop, LOL! I am a shopaholic in a recessionistas body. I can remember being in high school (no bills, no car payments, no insurance, and no wedding) and being able to spend all my "hard earned" money on whatever my little heart desired, oh how I long for those young girl days. Those were the days of Seven Jeans, Juicy Couture, and Coach purses. I still love and wear all of those things but now-a-days I find myself shopping at more wallet friendly shops i.e. Target, Old Navy, Forever 21 (who doesn't love that store), AE, and Marshall's. I still love love love JCrew, Nordstrom, Express, and Anthropologie, I just find myself being more selective when I buy something that costs a fraction of my pay. Oh and can't forget VS for my under-things. I don't care how bad the economy gets, I will never not buy my undies from them.
2. What is some of your best fitness advice?
LOL never did I dream of a day when someone would as ME for fitness tips! Hmm...I would say making yourself a priority is definitely key. If you jump into any diet/workout program half a$$ed you will not see the benefits. When I started taking my workout/dieting seriously and just doing it no matter what, that is when I started seeing the pay-offs. There is no more "I don't feel like going to the gym" I just do it. Is it hard to get up at 4:40 a.m. M-F? Hells yeah! Is it worth it? Definitely. Everyone is busy, everyone, but you have to make time (even if it means getting up an extra hour and 20 minutes earlier) to better yourself, to better your life. Without making yourself a priority nothing else will matter, eating right and losing weight will come as long as you want it for yourself.
Heather asked...
3.What are you looking forward to most about your wedding day?
Wow, what am I not looking forward to? I can't wait to see Future Mr's reaction to the Yoda grooms cake, I can't wait to see all my BMs in their pretty dresses, I can't wait to be ultra girly at the salon that morning, I can't wait to see family I haven't seen in a while, I can't wait to meet Future Mr's aunt for the first time, I can't wait to dance to our first song, and I can't wait for the father-daughter dance even though I know I will be crying my eyes out. BUT the thing I am MOST looking forward to is seeing my Future Mr's face as he sees me for the first time in my dress. I just know it's going to be a moment I will never forget. (now I'm crying, great).
4. What are you looking forward to the most about being married?
I would be lying if I said anything other than having babies, and everyone who knows me knows that's the truth. It's not because all my friends have babies, it's not because I can't wait to take our future baby and do all sorts of fun playdates, it's not because I am filling some void. It's simply because I think that creating a human being with the one and only love of my life is quite possibly the most amazing thing two people can do together. When you get married two become one but I think creating a new life is the ultimate union of two people coming together. I think I was born to be a mother and I know that Future Mr is going to make an amazing daddy. We have talked about how we cannot wait to raise our Little HoneyDew and teach them everything we have both learned from our parents.
Rachel asked
5. What's your favorite "Ohio thing"?
Hmm...I know a lot of people (me included) complain about this state and sometimes it takes questions like this for me to realize it's not all that bad. I'd say my favorite is Cedar Point! I'd go up there every weekend if I could. I love roller coasters and walking around in the sun (except when it's REALLY hot). I haven't been up in a few years and I'm really hating myself for that! I would say a close second would be buckeyes, and no I don't mean the football team. Yes I am a OSU Buckeye fan, born and raised, but the chocolate peanut butter goodness of a homemade buckeye is like heaven on earth!
Then Julie, oh Julie, asked me
6. How much do you love me?
Lots! Love you so much that I hate that you live all the way in Hot-lanta. I never in a million years would have thought I would make such a wonderful friend over the internet. You have been there with me through the worst and now you are here through during the best. Even when I was not holding up my end of the friend deal, you always held yours. I miss your face and now it's my turn to come down south to see you and that sweet little man of yours. I think it's freaky how much we are alike and love it at the same time. I know I can always just shoot you an email about anything and you will never judge. I love you!
Dollface asked...
7. Tell me about your hubby and when you knew he was "the one".
Well Future Mr is quite possibly the best combination of sweetness and rugged-ness all rolled into one. Wow this is hard to describe him in words because at times I feel like he's too good to be true. He's a sweetheart. He loves me with all of his heart and makes sure I know it. He can make me laugh till I pee my pants (literally). He is the hardest worker I have ever met, I've never seen someone so happy to work overtime or on a Saturday as he is. He will do anything for anyone and expects nothing in return. He is also a total man's man. He loves hunting, golfing, playing video games, and drinking beers. His friends love him and even though he doesn't hang out with them as much as he used to, they are very happy for him. He is also a family guy, love that. His sense of family is very strong and important to him, just as mine is to me. He plays the guitar which I love, melts my heart, and he can also play piano. I could listen to him forever. He is also very artistic, he can draw, paint, write music, and sing. He's tough. He had some serious guns when we first met and I thought it was so hot. I have always wanted a man that could hold me in his big strong arms.
I knew he was "the one" early on. Here is the story of how we met. It was funny to me because from August 2007 until we met again in January of 2008 I would think about him randomly. Then once we started talking and then dating it was like I had known him for years even though we had only been co-workers for 4 months. I'm not sure exactly when I "knew" he was "the one" but we both have lived by the motto "when you know, you know". A lot of people thought that we got engaged very soon, and yes we did, but we both just "knew". I wish I had a better answer or a more defining moment but the truth of the matter is I fell hard and I fell fast and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

8. What's your all-time favorite meal?
A girl after my own heart, LOL. I love food, I really do. My trainer wants to put me on a no dairy, no breads/pastas diet and I just can't. I love pasta and cheese more than anything so something like a baked penne is like heaven in a dish. Pasta is my go-to meal, whether it's me cooking at home or ordering out at a restaurant, I love it all. I am also a huge mexican food freak! I love margaritas and burritos from Chipotle (I know that's not really mexican). For a while I ate it so much that I swore I had Mexican heritage, come on you can see it, right? LOL.
9. Are you more into home decor or fashion- or neither?
I would say both equally. If you would have asked me this question about 1-2 years ago it would have been fashion handsdown. I still LOVE clothes, shoes, purses, and jewelry but those things seem less important to me now, well kind of. I think it just has to do with growing up and having a place of my own but I am becoming addicted to interior design. We are still renting so I can't get as into it as I'd liek but as soon as we have a place of our own, WATCH OUT! I already have ideas for things I want to do and blogs like Holly's only make the interior decorator in me want to come out more.
10. What are the little bits of your wedding day that you're stressing over? Or are you the perfect laid back bride?
I am SO stressing over my florist. I'm sure you all remember this from last week. Well long story short I am meeting with her tomorrow to see how things go. I am really nervous but I feel like I need to meet with her face to face and see what's up. Hopefully all goes well, she does my flowers, shows up, no problems, hopefully. I am also stressing over decorations. I just have this vision in my head and it all looks so lovely and I just hope it all plays out in real life on October 3rd!

11. What has stressed you out most about wedding planning that you are suprised it has even been an issue?
I thought finding a venue was going to be so so hard. I really thought we would end up looking at hundreds of places before finding one we both agreed on. We went to one. LOL. We had an appointment at another that I canceled because we just felt like our place was perfect for us. Future Mr loves to golf so having the wedding on a golf course seemed like a no brainer. I'm not going to lie though, upon first glance the place did not have curb appeal, but after going back last week I really feel confident that we chose the right location.

12. What has been the most fun thing about wedding planning?
I'm not sure that this is considered part of the planning but my favorite thing has been taking my B pix for my Future Mr. I felt like a million bucks when I left my shoot that night and I CANNOT wait to see the look on his face when he opens them. It was something I was SO nervous about and it ended up being one of the most positive experiences of my life. I encourage all brides-to-be to do them for their future hubby!

13. Where's one place you would never want to live?
That one is easy for me, China. I don't ever want to visit that place let alone live there. I have even joked with my bestie, K, that if I ever won a trip to China I'd give it to her. I just hate the fact that they tell you how many babies you can have and then kill off so many little girls in hopes of a boy. Disgusts me. Over population I get but there has got to be a better answer. That and it just seems like a dirty city. Smog? No thank you. Not knowing what you are eating? No thank you.
Jax asked...
14. Are you going on a honeymoon? If so where?
YES YES YES! The honeymoon is going to be amazing! We are staying 7 nights in Riviera Maya, Mexico. We have an amazing resort and a swim-up suite, all inclusive, all wonderful! Future Mr and I have never been outside of the U.S. (except Canada) so we are excited to do it for the first time together. I cannot wait!
15. If you could advise any bride to be on the first things she should definitely take care of as soon as possible, what would you say?
I would say the venue and photographer should be on your list of firsts. They were for me anyway because those were the two most important things for me. Especially if you find a venue that you love, book it!! If you are getting married in June do it FAST! June is the busiest month for weddings so whether it's the florist, DJ, photographer, or cake baker, you gotta get on it sometimes more than a year in advance.
16. If you had a day totally to just yourself and only you, what would you do?
If money were no object...I would start off by going in for a full spa day, mani, pedi, facial, massage, the whole nine yards. I love to be pampered. I would meet up all my girlfriends for lunch at an outdoors cafe and then head on out to the mall. I would literally shop till I dropped. This again is if money were not an object.

Thanks again to all the ladies who asked me questions. That was so much fun! I can't believe so many people wanted to know more about me!!!
